I have an appt with my Specialist next wk and find out when I am booked in to have my Elective C-Section. I had an emergency C-Section with my first son, and due to medical difficulties I am required to under go a 2nd (much to my relief-as my son was 10.5 Lbs) and this 2nd bub is expected to be bigger than the first. I am anxious and nervous as I do know what is expected from the recovery period. It took me nearly 6months to recover last time-and I had the support of my then partner. This time I am flying solo...Any words of advice??

I just had an appointment with my doctor, who said the baby is starting to drop, so I suppose that's good. She also said I'm not dialated yet, but thinning out...eeew. LOL I am hoping that I have him a little early, I don't want to wait another few weeks. I can't sleep already and I figure I might as well have a cute baby outside of me be the reason, right?
I have already instructed my husband to tell the nurses immediately when we get there that I want an epi. The chances of anything going wrong are so slim it's pointless to worry about it. And I was there when my frtiend had her baby (she had an epi too) and other than not getting up and moving around, she looked, and said she felt, fine. We even watched tv and she kept commenting on the commercials of upcoming movies, which really threw the nurses for a loop who were all wondering why she wasn't noticing the increasingly long contractions. Duh, you drugged her up. hahahaha
The hospital I'm planning on going to allows five people in the room, and I want my husband, mom, and closest friends there. Is anyone else having people in the room with them?

Yeah, it shouldnt be too much longer for you. My hospital says I can have up to 4 people...So that would be: my husband, mom & MIL.
