Yeah, I had my son with Pitocin the first time! Contractions every minute apart for 12 hours and no pain meds...made me decide that I WILL have the epi this time. So, how long do you have to be down after you have the baby with an epidural?

I have decided to have an epi. I have a very low tolerance for pain. I hope he comes early but we'll see. My baby shower is Saturday & cannot wait. So as long as I can make my shower, then the baby can come anytime after that. lol...

I'm being induced on Monday the 21st and I'm going to go natural again. No pain meds I guess I'm just crazy but the pain helps me from wanting to do this again. My girls are going to be 5 years apart but atleast I know I can handle the pain. I just feel bad for my poor hubby having to deal with the mean person that will come out.

Um... my son was born at 7:25pm... and I think I called the nurse at like 11pm to help me get up to go pee. (They don't want you to get up on your own the first time, just in case the epi hasn't fully worn off.) I didn't shower til the next morning. And with the epi, they catheterize you, and I swear they were extra rough putting in my catheter, since they knew I already had the epi, because it hurt for me to pee for weeks, and weeks after I had him. I shouldn't say "hurt", but I could still feel where the catheter was, and it was very uncomfortable.

5 weeks until my due date! At least my original due date. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and they gave me a due date of 2/20, but my ultrasound at 19 weeks moved my due date up to 2/16. But they say the original due date tends to be more accurate.

I'm only 6lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. I was overweight to begin with, lost some weight in the beginning, and then gained it back plus 6lbs. But the doctor thinks the baby weighs 6lbs herself right now. He said he's going to have to keep an eye on me and if they think the baby is getting too big, they'll want to induce. But I don't want them to induce me.

My plans are to try going natural with no pain meds, but I'm not completely ruling them out. I figure I'll decide once I start expereincing labor. If I feel I can get by without them, then I will go natural. If the pain gets to be too much, then I'll take the meds.

Umm, yeah...I have a hard time walking sometimes. I went to the mall only for a few minutes & I could barely walk the store I was in. And yeah, sometimes as soon as I get up (like of the couch or something), I have pain in my pubic or pelvic bone-not sure which...Its on the left side of my vay jay jay. And it hurts pretty badly.

hiya i'm officially due on the 18 feb, but i'm going to be induced at 37 weeks. which means there are under 2 weeks left now......i'm getting very nervous. have had loads of pain from adhesions throughout the pregnancy and have spent more time in hospital than out. so i'm really looking forward to not being pregnant. scared of the birth but pleased to be finishing with pregnancy IYKWIM. i also know in advance that i'll be having an epidural. i was hoping for a waterbirth but unfortunately due to the medication i'm on i'm not allowed.
i'm having a litle girl and we're going to call her willow. i can't wait to meet her

I have a lot of pain "down there" too. It has been really bad for abou 4 weeks now. Sometimes when I get up in the middle of the night I about fall to the ground because it hurts so bad! The pain has basically made my life a lot more difficult just because EVERYTHING I do basically hurts! I'm trying to walk a lot and stay active as much as I can, I work at a job where I have to sit all day and can't really get up and walk around so I think that may have something to do w/why I hurt more but I'll go for walks and that makes the pain subside sometimes. Oh well only 5 weeks left and it will be better!
