Vomiting, Diarrhea, and Fever a week after....

I called twice to the clinic...first thiis morning when I had no fever. But had been up ALL night with vomiting and diarrhea. The lady said it wasn't a sign of infection. Then I got a fever this afternoon...so I was obviously worried about the fever, I called the after hours #, the woman was quick to get me off the phone, but told me that it wouldn't have been from the abortion a week later. She pretty much just hung up on me. I was still trying to ask questions and she just said "Ok, bye"... What a Bitch.   I don't know what to believe at this point but thinking of going to the E.R. tonight either way. Has anyone else experienced this a week or so after a surgical abortion? I'm starting to worry even though they keep telling me I don't have an infection from the abortion. Any help would be appreciated....my friend accidentally kept all my papers after the procedure and now I have to ask him if I have a question about it. He said I should go to the E.R. and tell them about the procedure, etc.   Help!

I think you should go to the ER asap... vomiting, diarrhea, and fever all at the same time is a bad sign   and a week isn't that long. Infection could have set in during that week... it takes a lot longer than that for the uterus to heal after an abortion. I hope they help you at the ER and I hope you feel better :/

I would definity go in. There might be an ifection, or it just might be a bug. But Id rather be safe then sorry.
Dont worry about what anyone thinks, you made the best decision that was right for YOU and your child. (if thats what your worried about)

Does anyone know how they'll determine whether it's infection from the abortion or just a virus?
I'm really hoping it's just a virus.   Apparently it has been going around, in this area...but I'm still afraid.
Has anyone here actually had an infection, what were your symptoms and how did they find out what you had?
I should also mention I haven't threw up since at least 6 am this morning and haven't had diarrhea since 8:30 or so this morning...and it's almost 6 pm now. But I've of course felt weak all day, been afraid to eat I just now took some tylenol and ate a cracker. Otherwise I've just drank sprite and my daughter's pedialyte off & on all day, and ate ice chips.. Also I haven't had any heavier bleeding or anything... only the vomiting and diarrhea, and now fever(only 100.2 so far but I'm keeping a check on it) ...I feel like smurf though.  

girl i feel like smurf too. these antibiotics made me puke my brains out and gave me really bad gas cramps. and i haven't kept anything down ive barely ate the past 3 days so when i took a shower i almost passed out.. i had to lay down in the shower. ughh. idk just keep an eye on the fever if it doesn't go down just go in... hopefully we both start feeling better

I'd go to the E.R.
Fever is never good after abortion.
Clinic are so quick to dismiss potential problems.

Do you all think I should go in tonight or try to wait till morning if my fever doesn't go up anymore and/or if I dont seem to get worse ? If I go tonight I'll likely have to call an ambulance to take me cause I sure dont feel like driving myself.

Has your fever reduced with medication (Tylenol or whatever you're taking for it)?

like the other girl said did you take Tylenol or anything and has it gone down?? i would go to the ER if it doesn't go down or gets any higher

These are signs of infection.Go to the er.

I fell asleep early last night and didn't wake up till now.   But I took my temperature again and it's back to normal... 98. something... and I haven't had any tylenol since 6 last night. I'd planned on taking more before bed last night but fell asleep around 8:00 so didn't get to...but thankfully it went back to normal on its own!

I still might go to the dr. anyway today just to be checked.

Well I went to the dr. and it was a completely WASTED trip. They couldn't tell me what's wrong with me. Doctors are such worthless pieces of smurf. Said I'd have to see a gynecologist for "that" sort of problem....they checked me for the flu which I dont have. And gave me a prescription for some nausea medicine.

Call your GYN and see if you can talk to someone about it. Someone may be able to tell you if it's normal or if you'd need to go in.
