Fussy all the time...where's the warranty, I think he's brok

posted 14th Jan '08
Okay, so my little precious angel from the heavens has been with me for 4 and a half months now. I love him to death and can't imagine my life without him! The only thing is he is ALWAYS fussy! It's like he needs constant attention all the time, or something always stimulating his mind. At first, I thought that it was a good thing- he's going to be a child prodigy LMAO- but now, I'm starting to think I need to watch out for signs of ADD (my brothers have it and his dad has it too). It's not like he doesn't have things to stimulate his mind...he has a jumperoo, an excersaucer, a bouncy chair w/toys, a swing, a toy box FULL and even a high chair with toys on it. But nothing keeps his attention for longer then 15 minutes other then the jumperoo. I hate to sound like I'm not grateful for my son, it's just, being a new first time mom, this makes me re-think my options of having more children b/c I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it.

Anyone have any ideas, or at least let me know I'm not the only one witha wonderfully challenging little one?...

my son is really fussy some days. things don't always keep his attention for long. sometimes he just needs to fuss. now that we are trying to not hold him as much hes better at being on his own. he still has his fussy days but hes a great baby most of the time. your baby might be teething too.

Do you have a sling or other kind of carrier? My sling helped alot. Some babies just need more attention than others.

Its not unusually most babys have a short attention span and 15 minutes is about the max.
It gets easier and as they get older they will self entertain longer. Get a sling and wear your baby around the house the changing scenary will help keep his mind busy.
