Gripe Water?

I have a grumpy baby! And there is nothing wrong with her! I thought it was gas, but mylicon doesn't help. She does eat, but not on any sort of schedule. It seems like when she gets upset, she really doesn't want to eat and that worries me. She used to eat very well.
The grumpiness happens at the same time every night, like colic would, but it just started. I always heard that colic began in the first two weeks. It is like she gets herself in such a fuss that she won't do anything.
I have heard from a few people the "Gripe Water" is a good thing to use if you suspect your baby to have problems with sour stomach, or even colic. Has anyone ever used it? I gave her some last night, and it seemed to help A LOT. She ate, and slept regularly and peacefully, like she wasn't in pain. There was no squirming or fussing. I am wondering if it is just a coincidence, or does this stuff actually work? Anyways, if anyone has ever used it, let me know if it worked for your baby. Thanks!

Ya, I plan on trying again this evening. I have heard a lot of good things about this stuff, and it makes me feel so much better that it is all natural. I really don't like giving her medecine this young, so I was worried.
Thanks for the replies, I will try it again tonight and see if it does the trick! I can't stand to see such a sweet baby upset.
