Growing up already

posted 14th Jan '08
My little boy Tyler Daniel was 4 weeks old on Friday gone. Over the weekend he started smiling (not due to wind), then this morning he made a few cooing noises! I know some may think "whatever" but he was controling his head within the 1st week and i'm sure babies grow up quicker these days. I read a post about an 8 week old standing on here not long since. Im just so excited!
Last nite i managed to keep him awake from 5pm till 11pm and he fed at 11pm and slept till 4.15am and then went straight back to sleep and woke at 8.15am.

that's so wonderful...I'm glad you're enjoying these little milestones! I can't wait to hit a few little growth markers like that, but I am trying to enjoy what we've got right now too.

they definatly seem to be developing earlier. Megan was standing at 8 weeks and is really trying to crawl.

I loved the first smiles. Dont let anyone tell you it was wind. You know the difference after all

My son is almost 4 weeks old, and he somewhat can controll his head when I let him lay on his tummy, but girl how do you get your LO to sleep from 11pm-4am, the most my son sleep is 3 hours and then wake up and want to be feed. But baby do grow up fast that's why they say cherish them moment.

Im not saying he will sleep 11 - 4 tonight, but im gonna give it a try, up until yesterday he was waking and feeding every 2 - 3 hours, but keeping him awake from 5pm seemed to work, gonna try it again tonight and will keep you posted.

My baby girl turned 4 weeks on Friday just passed also. She still wakes every 3hrs for her feeding. Its hard trying to keep her awake during the day or evening. I wish my baby would sleep 4-6 hours straight i would be the happiest person in the world on that night.
