birthing class

I'm going tomorrow and Sunday with my boyfriend to a childbirthing class. Did anyone else do this? And did it help get you more prepared? I'm due in a little over three weeks, and I know I've kinda put this class off until the last minute, but it's somthing I think I should do, but I just don't want it to be a waste of time.

I did - and I wish I'd have gone to more, I really didn't want to go at first but I found out lots of useful tips I had no idea about, reading is just not the same as actually practicing stuff.
I went to a class about labor, and we had a lecture on child/mother interaction too, like I said I really enjoyed the both =)

my hubby and i went to a 6 week childbirth class and i think it was helpful. also went to a breastfeeding class and that too was helpful. it's all up to you, but especially if this is your first baby like it is mine, i'd suggest you go.

i have my class planned for feb and I am duwe in April so i might be a,ittle EARLY, My best friend, my birthing coach, (charels works away from home too far to count on him being there) thinks it will be waste of time, but she had TWO planned C-sections, I am gonna give it a whirl anyways, and HOPE it helps!

The hospital where I'm delivering does a weekend class for people like me who put it off until the last minute. I just didn't want it to be a waste of time for me and my boyfriend because both of us have had to call off work to go. Not to mention, I've heard some girls say that it was a waste of time cuz everything they tell you is common sense. I'm actually pretty glad I let him talk me into it though. (yea, it was the boyfriend's idea to go... not mine... lol)

I am also takin a weekend class, because of everyone scedules in my life, it makes more since to take a weekend class and no0t have to go for 6 weeks, I am VERY furtunate, they are gonna let me take my Hubie and my best friend to calss with me, Hubbie wants to go, incase he gets to be there for the birth, and my bestest, incase he isnt, I love the hospital that I am delivering in, they are VERY understamding of alternitive families and how they work, not sayin my family is alternative, just dysfunctional more like it!
