New "old "mom

I am 35 years old and 17 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. (I have had 2 misscarriages)My son is almost 16 now. I had put off buying anything for this baby until I got over the first trimester safely. So I went shopping the other day and there is sooo much new stuff out there for babies!!! They didn't have any of this 16 years ago. So nedless to say, I'm overwhelmed. We have NOTHING for this baby yet. What out there is good to get? Is there anything you couldn't live without ? Portable bottle warmers, wipe warmers? I would really appreciate any ideas you all have on this subject. Thanx in advance!

I never got a wipe warmer, bottle warmer, bottle sterilizer, or diaper genie. I think they are all silly, and if I did have them I probably wouldn't use them. Good luck and congrats on being a mommy again!

LOL I was wondering some of the same things! My youngest is 14 and I'm 38 weeks now....They sure never had wipe warmers when he was little!

congrats! I know things are different than they were 11 years ago. With my 4th child I couldn't live without a jumperoo that kept her occupied for hours when she was about 3 months old also a bouncer , swing wipe warmers dry the wipes out bottle warmers take forever to heat the bottle. the boppy pillow is my best breastfeeding friend lol good luck and healthy pregnancy to you!

My Boppy pillow and my crib tent (though I didn't really us it until he could pull himself up in the crib) and my baby swing. Everything else is just basic necesseties that I'm sure you needed before too. Congrats!

I think the portable swings are nifty, especially if you travel or sit outside a lot. They are easier to manuver, even though I got the full size swing. I really like the little bouncy chairs. They are great for having baby relax or you can even feed them food in it (like jar food), instead of using a highchair each time.
