MEN!!! Seriously... *~*rant*~*

My boyfriend came back from a friend's house last night and immediately jumped on the computer to play his stupid World of Warcraft. So, since it was perfectly clear that I wasn't going to be getting any attention for the rest of the night, I snuggled into bed and started watching what I always watch on Wed. nights (The Real World). {i better make it clear... we live in an efficiency apartment. our bedroom is our living room is our dining room is our computer room...} He doesn't like The Real World, so, he lets me know. "This show is retarded. All it is is a bunch of stupid people arguing with more stupid people about stupid things." Well, DUH. I know that. But, it's entertaining to me. So, I ignore his silly little comments and continue watching. He, in turn, raises the volume of the computer speakers so that I can't hear the television. I raise the volume of the tv. He then unplugs the television. Now, I'm pissed. What, in God's name, gives HIM the right to tell me what I can and can't watch on tv when he's using the computer??? He has headphones that he usually uses to play his stupid game anyway. He goes on and on about how that show does nothing but help make people stupid... So, I try to explain to him that if he would just lay in bed with me, I would MUCH rather watch something we can both agree on as long as it means I get to snuggle with him. That makes no difference to him. "I don't care what you want to watch as long as it's not that sh*t!" The argument continues and I end up being called a dumb ass for supporting stupidity. I ended up giving up and watching something else. A few hours later, he decides he wants to go to bed. Once he's in bed, I get on the computer and play around here (on BG) in TDC to relieve some of my anger. When I finally lay down next to him, he rolls over and cuddles me. So, my thought was, "good, we're done being mean." I wake up this morning to nothing but attitude. He won't even give me our usual "good morning" hug and kiss. Then, I notice him putting his coat and shoes on. So, I ask him what he's doing. He says, "nothing." then walks out the door. Two hours later, I haven't heard anything from him, so, I call over to his friend's house. There he is.

Just a week ago, I was in the hospital with "Possible Preterm Labor". I was put on bedrest and told to keep my stress levels down. He knows this. So, why doesn't he give a shit??? Why was it necessary for him to make such a huge deal over a stupid tv show??? How does it make sense that he should get to control the computer and the television??? And, why in God's name am I the one ready to fucking apologize?!?!?!?!

Sorry for the length. Just had to get all that out.  

Oh honey....it will be okay. He's just stressed like you are. Nothing gives him the right to act like he's your father and can control what you do and watch, but he's probably just stressed over things too. My hubby and I have gone through stuff like that too. Flat out say to him that you want quality time with him. No computer for him OR you, no nothing but the two of you and something you want to do together. Maybe that will work.

And the reason you are ready to apologize, you're a woman & pregnant....it's normal. Even if we know they are the one being the ass. LOL

Keep your chin up sweetie. It will get better.  

I know how you feel, mine plays his computer all the time, thank god he has a computer room. but just last night he bought the expansion pack to World of Warcraft. But I'm sure you are the one ready to apologize because, if you are like me, you are just ready to stop arguing. I have found that it makes life for me so much easier if I am the one to apologize   I hope that things get better though, and of course you'll hear this a bunch, but don't stress too much, guys are immature.

Men can be just as mysterious as woman only they won't admit it. Men deal with their feelings in different ways unlike us woman who express how we feel and are going through. There's been times where my husband is in a serious mood all day and mostly quiet and to himself and I'll ask what's wrong but he won't say he'll act like it's nothing, but I sense sumthing is wrong. Then when he's in his usual happy mode he'll tell me he was feeling stressed about certain things. so maybe he's feeling a lil stressed and nervvous about the baby, who knows. maybe when he's in his nomal mood you can ask him are you stressed, nervous or just ask him if he's alright in general. Ne way I hope this can help in sum way.

I am sorry hun. men can be so stupid sometimes.  When I was prego my man would seriously test me.

Its because World of Warcraft consumes people. I really think people who play that game are sad and pathetic.I refuse to be with anyone who plays that shit. and thats exactly what it is. SHIT. Fuck world of warcraft. I say you leave him and file for child support. If he wants to shell out cash every month,might as well be for something important.

whoa there nelly... i don't blame that game. i played it for awhile. i just got sick of it. now that i'm pregnant, he's not nearly as bad about the game as he used to be. LOL i didn't think my post would inspire such anger about the game... men, maybe... but, not the game. LOL

Hating men is just a given. We're women. Thats what we do. I think it all goes back to Adam selling out Eve to the G-man. Women are bitter creatures.

You said you're supposed to be on bed rest right? I don't see how he could get so pissed off like that.. Anger raises blood pressure and I'm a perfect example of what blood pressure can do in pregnancy. I was hospitalized 4 times in the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy, the last time, I was induced. He should be treating you a million times better than that.. If television and computers can ignite an argument.. I'd hate to see what he does with a REAL reason to be shitty.

My fiance was like that for awhile. It basically boils down to him being immature. I explained to him that I didnt have time for immaturity in my life and if he didnt stop acting like a 5 year old I would leave him. When he realized that it wasn't an idle threat, he started treating me a lot better and our appliances thank him for it.
