Baby Update!

So, for the last 3 weeks I've been dilated to 2cm and about 80% effaced.. I was hoping I would have made more progress by my doctor's visit today.. No such luck.   However, I did have him strip my membranes to try to get things started, and so far nothing.. Kinda feeling alittle sad about it.. But, on the upside, he set up an induction appointment for me for the 18th at 7 am if she doesn't come by then. I'm kind of apprehensive about being induced, but I'm REALLY excited!! At most, 9 more days til I meet my precious daughter!! Just thought I'd share the news!! thanks for listening!

Did haveing your cervix striped hurt?
If my daughter isn't here by her due date my husband has to go back to Virginia to work, and won't get to see the birth of his daughter........
I've been thinking about asking my doctor if he would do it, without a medical reason.... She'd only be 3days early MAX...

I was induced, they broke my water, but I made sure to tell them that I wanted to see how things went by doing that alone before they gave me any pitocin or anything else because sometimes it makes the labor pains more intense.. It went really well and super fast. Good luck.

It didn't hurt me at all.. Just quite a bit of pressure. I'm usually really tolerant to pain, though..
I would just ask him. I was nervous asking my doctor because i know most want the baby to come naturally. But he said yes and I don't really have a medical reason. My parents are visiting me (they live 1300 miles away) and are only going to be here til the end of the month, so I asked him what's the longest he would make me wait if she didn't come. He was the one that actually brought up inducing me on my D/D.. It worked out pretty well. I'm sure if you explain your situation too your doc won't mind! Good luck!!

Tehe.. I was actually wanting to have her yesterday because it was Elvis's Birthday and I'm a superhuge Elvis nut.. I'm just sooooooo ready to meet her!!

we are due the same day. i went to the docs on friday the 4th and was only 1cm dilated  . My doc is not going to induce me because I want to have a VBAC and with those they won't induce you. Good luck to you. Lots of labor dust your way.

thanks, last night i went to mall and walked the entire mall for an hour twice, you like the mall walkers do in the morning. didn't really do much, i don't think just have some major pressure down below but that's it.
