August/September '07 Babies: Mommy Chat

So I thought since I have seen others with Threads they keep up with each other in, we should have one too.

I thought we already did, but I couldn't find it to bump it back up.

So how is everyone's little ones doing? What milestones have they achieved? How much do they weigh? How long are they?

Feel free to chat/talk about any issues or anything in here, b/c chances are we are either all experiencing it or about to experience it.

Also could you post your real name if you dont mind... I talk to all of you so often but don't know your real names.

My name is ally Ive been on here since December I believe lol I dont remember. My daughter was born August 16th 6 lbs 1 oz er name is Heliana. She is now almost 5 months old and weighs 18 pounds 26 1/2 inches long she can sit up when I help her and constantly babbles she has just started doing this new thing where she screams/squels its cute but so repetitive I have never heard of babies screaming/squeling I wonder if this is normal lol. I havent been on baby-gaga as much since my daughter consumes my time lol but I hope to stay in contact with you and all the other ladies I may have lost contact with

My son was born on Aug 16 as well. He was 9 lbs 7 oz. He currently weighs 19 lbs 8 ozs.

He went through a squealing phase, he still does it but not as much. He use to love to do it in his stroller while we were shopping. haha

He loves sitting up as well, but can only stay up without my support for about 5 seconds.

We just had his 4 month check up (a couple weeks late) and he is 16 pounds, 25" long.

Sometimes I feel that I might be stunting his developmental milestones because I like to hold him so much

haha I don't think that is possible. Cuddle them while they are small, they grow up so fast.

It is so weird to me that our babies are about to be mobile!!! I feel like I just had him.

I know! Before I became a member on this site, I lurked quite often, and I remember thinking, "Wow, she has a 2 month old, my son won't be 2 months old for a long time!"

I can't believe he'll be 6 months next month. Pretty soon he'll be in high school

Warren was born on August 14th.
at his 4 month shots he weighed 16lbs 7oz and measured in at 28 in.
im sure he has grown since then and i cant wait until our 6 mo appt(minus the shots 
we have tried to introduce solids about a month ago but i didnt feel like he was ready. so we tried that deal for like 3 days.
now, next week we are going to try and re-introduce solids. wish me luck.


also one question:: should i or should i not introduce solids and CIO in the same week? should i introduce solids then like 2 weeks later try to introduce CIO...help would be great!! thanks ladies.
oh and another thing, im glad you made this thread. ive been looking for one since he was born but never saw one and i was to shy to start one  lol

While I'm not exactly sure, I would say don't do both in the same week. My reasoning would be that if he was having some kind of reaction to the solid foods you were introducing, you would have no way of knowing he was really in pain/distress if you were having him cry it out.

ya, thats one of the reasons i was doubting doing both at the same time. when do you think i should start CIO?

I tried to start it this past weekend, we lasted one night. I'm just not ready for it. I feel bad b/c I know he is teething, but after teething tablets, tylenol, oragel there is only so much I can do. The night after I let him CIO he woke up with a cold, so my hubby says that I made him sick.

I am going to give it a few more weeks and then try again.

Haha, the siggy pic is from when he's like 2 months old. I need to update, but I really like that picture...haha

I'm Jenalei, Kaidyn was born on August 8 and was 9lb 10oz estimated to be another lb if he hadn't pooped in meand 21in. He is now somewhere around 21lb and 26in. He can sit on his own and play with toys, talks like crazy, he is on solids and loves peas and bananas andhe just startedbeing able to push up on his hands and feet.
