re: August/September '07 Babies: Mommy Chat

Hey!!! Easton loved the fireworks!!! We went to a free concert in the park by the water. The Drifters and The Marshall Tucker Band played. They had all sorts of games and jump houses set up. The fireworks were shot off from a barge on the water. Easton was just setting on my lap watching and the next thing I knew he was asleep, lol. So I put him in the moby and he slept until we got to the car. We didn't end up getting home until 11pm with all the traffic. But in all it was a good day and it wasn't too hot or sunny so we weren't miserable. I'm uploading pics.

Im glad everyone had a good day yesterday,
Averi was already asleep when they all started in our area and she even slept through the billions that went off around our apartment. So i guess fireworks arent her thing. There not mine either, im oddly afriad of them. I didnt do yoga last night to calm my nerves cause as soon as my head hit the pillow i was out.
When i got up this morning my bf appologized for being a jerk yesterday (he called himself a jerk!) and gave me a hug. So looks like things are gettting better. Today is another day at the MIL's. Me and the bf might go see a movie if we could find a good one. Should be nice.

Meg: Im so happy you had a great day. Im glad things are kind of working out. You know you got us girls if you need anything  

Christina: Thanks for the kind angel words like usual. You have such a way with them that just makes me feel so much better. Hows the Jamil walking going?

Danielle: YEAH! Pics. Thats the one thing i really didnt do. Silly me! Then again we didnt really celebrate. I cant wait to see them!


OH! And Laura. Averi's personality has gone crazy too. She gets in these moods that she just NEEDS to be held by me or daddy. Nothing else will make her happy. I know this sounds normal but for Miss Independent it sure isnt. I've also gotten random crying fits thrown at me for NO reason. So im with ya on that one.

Yesterday was mostly good, except I can't stop thinking about that poor kid.  It was so heart wrenching hearing him scream for his mom.  I just wanted to go comfort him, but I knew it wasn't my place.

I think they were trying to get ahold of her.  I didn't see anyone who seemed to be upset enough to be his mom, and they were yelling phone numbers to the cops, so I'm thinking she wasn't there yet.

i couldn't imagine recieving that phone call about easton!!! That poor momma. I hope the little boy is ok. Did the person who hit him get arrested?

Here are our pictures of Lucas at his first parade. We didn't get to see any fireworks becaues it poured here so they were called off other than people setting them off in their yards, we could hear them vaguely, but nothing special to be seen. He didn't nap all day because there was so much going on around him so we were all exhausted by the time we got home last night and passed right out!!!

He loved this little flag, but they made it out of a pencil (unsharpened) so I didn't really care for it...

Cute pics of Easton and Lucas, I actually didn't get Jamil 4th of July outfit, I wanted to, but Daddy said we weren't doing anything so it would be a waiste... Oh well... We'll do it up next year....

Lisa he hasnt' made much more progress yet... Still just 2/3 steps.. He was doing 4 the day he started and seems to have regressed, but then again, we haven't been home much, and he is most comfortable here... So I think that's why... I have SO muhc cleaning to do today. I hate it when my house is messy on a saturday and we're home so I;m trying, but Jamil wont stay outside with daddy and he keeps bringing him to me... Grr... He is playing now so I should get up and take advantage of it...

so I have a quick question for anyone who does the co-sleeping thing. Since Dawson has been having suck a hard time sleeping I have been bringing him to bed with us... but how do yall do it I am so worried about a pillow getting in his face or him waking up and crawling off the bed. Do yall actually have them in the bed with you or do you have them in something. I might be willing to invest in something seeing as how even when he falls asleep with us when I put him in the crib he wakes up (of course that could be related to the fact that we recently lowered the crib all the way down and I am only 5'2" so it is kinda hard to lay him down gently like I used to be able to.
Anyways hust thought I would pose the question since I might have to start the co-sleeping for a while

I have a bed rail, so I don't worry abotu him rolling off, and I have a foot board, so it's not likley he coudl crawl off plus I would notice him before he could... as for the pillows, I used to worry a lot but now I don't
