I know.I thought I was going to catch a break with my second. My first was 11 days over due as well. With my next one Im just going to automatically tack on 10 days to my due date and save myself the mental agony =o)
On a side note I got VERY lucky with my labor.
It was only 3 hours long from the time they broke my water until the time I pushed him out.

P.s - I love that we have this post. Sometimes I feel like I dont belong at BG because I dont really have anyone that Im close with. Great idea !!

oops I never saw this. We're seeing a different doctor for his eye. As long as it dosent get bigger we're good. We go to the dermatologist in Feb again, but we're almost past the point of rapid growth. It should just go away by it's self, but the longer we wait to see, the more options we have for treatment if its needed! Thanks for asking.

Has anyone here had a c-section then with there second had a natural birth? I know it's possible but I still worry. I'm not pregnant again but I know I want another baby and I so much wanted to have Sara naturally but she was too big. I'm hoping I can have my next one naturally, I just want the experience.

I had a c-section, but I'm still undecided on what I'm going to do for the next one. My momhad a VBAC, and she said it was her best birth experience. This, coming from a woman who had1 completelynatural, 1 vaginally with an epidural, 3 c-sections, and 1 VBAC. If you want to, I'd say give it a shot. Make sure your doctor will let you. In my hometown, no doctors will allow VBACs.

I'm not planning on having my next for a few years but I am already debating the VBAC vs. repeat c-section as well. I was very upset I didn't even get the chance to try and deliver naturally. I asked my doctor and of course the first thing he said was "We don't recommend VBACs". Her head was too big for my pelvis plus I only ever dilated to 9cm. He said that I would most definately dilate all the way but whether I'd be able to push out the baby he doesn't "know". It's a difficult decision to make and there is negatives and positives on both ends. My fiance would rather we take the easy way out and get scheduled sections, cause you know, labor was so hard on HIM lol.

I would have as many c-sections as nessesary, as long as the baby was safe. I would just like to have a natural birth at least once, to know what it's like. I'm sure it's not pleasant but I don't want to never experience it for my self. I kinda feel like I missed out. She was born perfect and heathy and i'm go glad, but when my friends talk about there experiences, that's when I really feel like I missed out/.

Hi! I'm Lory. I had Jackson on August 25. I was induced 3 days early. He weighed 7 lbs6 oz and is now 16 lbs 6 oz and 23 and a half inches long. He's a chunky little guy! He is my whole world! I just quit my full time job to become a SAHM. I went back to work when he was 7 weeks and it's been torture! My hubby and I will have to make some sacrifices, but being a mom has always been my dream. 6 more months of BC and we're gonna try for another.
Jackson is a very happy baby! He is rolling over, grabbing and putting everything in his mouth, laughing, constantly wants to stand when you hold him. He's been sleeping through the night(8-9hrs) since Thanksgiving and it's been HEAVEN! The only issue we're having now is that he will only go to sleep at night if you give him a bottle. Anyone else?

That was my main reason for being afraid of having a c-section. Thankfully, I was able to deliver naturally, but it was kind of touch and go. His heart rate kept dropping. Once my water broke, we thought that was it. We had a big, long decel. And my mom, who is a midwife, silently had decided that it was probably going to end up an emergency section. But my midwife gave me a chance, and we were able to do it. I had to stay on my hands and knees until it was time to start pushing. We almost had to use the vaccuum extractor, but he popped out just in time. I wasn't scared of the surgery so much. I just really wanted to be able to experience natural childbirth at least once. Good luck with your next one.

He slept through the night last night!!!! I don't even know how long it's been since he's slept as well as he did last night. I think we might be getting over our sleep regression. It was terrible. He started by waking up once a night, then twice, and slowly increased until he was waking up every two hours (which he didn't even do when he was newborn). Then, we started waking up twice a night, then once. It's still been a little off and on. The other night he woke up quite a few times before I went to bed, and continued waking up every two hours. But last night, I put him down at 9:30, checked on him at 11:30, and didn't hear a peep until 5:30. It felt so good. The worst part is, I think he's teething terribly. But I wanted to let you all know, there is hope. Danielle, hopefully Easton will start getting back on track. I was worried that I'd have to retrain Vince, but it seems like he's putting himself back where he needs to be without any help.

Yay for sleep!!! Unfortunately last night was the worst night of all for us. He would scream bloody murder everytime I put him down. So I picked him up and rocked him back to sleep and then when I put him down he would immediately wake up and start crying. So I had to put him in my bed and he would only sleep curled up in my arms. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep.

He's sleeping now, so i'll see how it goes tonight.

Maybe Vince needs to have a talk with Easton, haha

I'm proud of him... but slightly jealous, ok alot jealous that you got some good sleep!

Hey ladies with little boys:

Tonight when I took my sons diaper off for a bath I noticed some red spots on his testicles. Kinda like a rash...

He had on a cheap diaper, we were trying Parents Choice Diapers during the day and Pampers at night. He also pooped 4 times today.

I don't know if it was just a diaper rash? Do those get on the testicles? Sorry he's never had diaper rash before.

Do you think it was from the diapers? Like an allergy? Or from the poo-ing festival he had today?

Jamil has that the last two days too, I put some diaper rash cream on it yesterday after a bath and it was better, and today it was back, so I put some more, We use pampers.
