re: August/September '07 Babies: Mommy Chat

Since Mike is going through a "I only want Mommy to hold me all day and night phase", he is not to fond of the highchair. Yesterday I had to feed him while he sat on my lap but he used to be fine in it. I'm almost more than positive now that he hit a growth spurt. He has been rejecting solids and taking in SO much formula. He woke up at 8 and took a 2 hour nap at10 thenwent back to sleep at 1:30 and is still asleep. He did the same yesterday. The crankiness is better though.

I almost forgot.....DOes anyone know what today is??? It's my baby-gaga aniversery!!

Danielle: I think Averi crawled before she sat up so they kinda happen at the same time. I dont remember strangly. Could his size be an issue? I dont mean that in any mean way so please dont think im pickin on him. Its just a thought....please dont get mad!

Liz: Is there a 9m growth spurt? When IS the next one?I hope peanut returnsback to his happy go lucky self soon. But then again enjoy the"needy-ness".I wish Averi wasall needy for me. She only wants me for food or naptime or stinky diapers. Oh and if there are strangersnear by. Other then that im just nuttin. She isnt needy at all sadly.

Sometimes I don't know what is worse...a needy baby or a baby who is too independent. I guess both have it's perks and downsides.

danielle, he has to go from a belly off the ground crawling position to get into a sitting position. I think that is why Easton isn't able to do it, because he is army crawling. Also Jamil goes from a crawling position to pulling up, rather than pulling up from the sitting position (Like he did before he could crawl.)

Goh!!!!!!!!!! Last night was horrible.

I dont understand this kid, for almost a week he was sleeping 9-5 and then going back to sleep until 8. But last night he was up all night! It could be teething or his stuffy nose or this cough he has..... blah! I got no rest. Then this morning he was so whiney and grumpy and I was mean to him.   I feel bad about it now, I know he was just tired but so was I. I couldn't find my keys and then when I found them I had this HORRIBLE smell in my car. It has been bad, but this morning it was awful. So I had to let him cry again so I could find the smell. It was a bottle that got wedged under the front passenger seat. YUCK! Plus to top it all off, the damn dog peed in the floor this morning! Happy f-ing Tuesday to me.

Sorry you had such a rough night and rough morning on top of that...we've had 3 rough nights in a row and I too have been losing my patience so don't feel bad it was bound to happen sooner or later.
