I was thinking about you last night when I was watching the new trying to get D to sleep....so how close are you to the coast?

im 60 miles. i hope that is inland enough. those things are huge though. last time a cat 3 came there was damage all the way in nacogdoches, which is hundreds of miles inland.

OH way far...we wil probably get rain but that is about it. I am in the austin area...which is where a lot of the Katrina people were sent...in fact I work with a few people that decided to not to leave LOL....I wish I did not have work and school I would say you can come and stay with me...but I wont be home much.

my best friend is in austin. ive considered asking her, but her family lives in houston too and she only has a 1 bedroom apt.

Kailyn uses a paci too! I have decided we are going to ween one thing at a time. Bottles first, paci second. We will be starting to ween from the bottle within the next 2 weeks (since that is when she will be 1   ) and I am hoping that by 13 or 14 months that will be done and we can work on the paci. I do NOT want her using it past 18 months... if she is I will be taking them cold turkey. I hate seeing toddlers with pacis (or bottles!)

I moved some stuff into my new place! Some toys and things I had in storage. Tomorrow I am going to pack up here and we are going to finish moving everything Sunday!  

Mady's pics are beautiful! I love the pink background, where did you get them? We never had that option! lol.

haha...thanks girls! i would love to go to new york someday. ive never been! im feeling a little bit better. it looks like its heading for louisiana mostly. but we have lots of time still, so we will see. im glad it looks like it isnt coming here, but i dont know ho anyone could still live in new orleans. here they go again.............

if it changes again, i will probably evacuate sunday, with or without hubby. but if not, i will just stick it out again. i think the only thing that will suck is if we lose power for several days to weeks.

i was going to switch katelyn to milk next week, so i didnt buy anymore formula. but if the power goes out i wont be able to keep the milk cold. so i went ahead and bought more formula today. i may return it if the storm goes by and i havent opened it yet. but otherwise, ill just hold off for a little bit longer..

anyway....i just wanted to drop in and say hi. hubby wants to hang out with me. ttyl!!

This is the van we have decided to buy for the group home!   I dont know that I am crazy about the color (its "blue pearl coat") but its the van that the middle seats can turn to face front or face the rear seat and a little table pops up! Should be fun for the guys to be able to sit and chat with eachother! Now I have to pick out a car... but it will probably be a few months before we have to actually buy it. I am looking at the Ford Edge and a Scion (not the one that looks like a shoe box). I just wish I could take these cars home with me - my car is a piece of garbage! lol

I think having the formula on hand is a great idea. But, I hope you wont need it! I cant imagine living in a place where you have to worry about hurricanes or tornados or earthquakes. Scary   !
