I wish these contarctions would make up their minds!

Ok so monday i whent in for an induction and since my cervix isnt ripe or whatever they decided to use some kinde of gel to soften my cervix. Two hours after they put in the gel I was having minor contractions. I whent home untill the second dose at 3pm that day by then the contarctions were dying down. At the next insertion I was 2cm dialated with a postrior cervix and my cervix was still not softening up. I get the second does of gel and the contractions pick up again, and get more painful they start comming every 5minutes apart, but I still wasnt dialating very much I only got to about 3cm and my cervix is still not soft so I decide I want to go home, the midwife didnt think it was a good idea she thought things were going to pick up that night. Later I take a shower at home and the contractions start dying down. I get some sleep and go back for my third anf final dose of gel on tuesday morning. Again the contarctions pick up and I whent back home to pace the floors. The contractions were getting strong to the point where I was gonna go back in to get checked because I was becoming irritable. I decide to take a shower first to see if they die down and they did, so I whent to bed. This morning I woke up and whent to the bathroom and lost my muccous plug and had my bloody show, so I am thinking thast my cervix is finally softening up, I also have contarctions that are uncomfortable but bearable, more annoying then anything. I am getting so tiered of these contarctions I wish they would either pick up or go away. I get alot of pressure in my vagina and my rectale area as well when I walk. If I dont have the baby on my own by friday then i go back to the hospital for some pitocin I believe.

it sounds like you are pre labor right now. 1st baby?
Some people's bodies just dont react well when they arent ready.

O dear....you were due December 31st! You must be getting impatient by now! Hang in there! It sounds to me like you are almost there!
