Late loss girls....

Hi all, I hope this isn't too personal of a question, but to those of you with late losses not related to genetic issues, congenital anomalies, or cord accidents, do you know what caused your miscarriage/stillbirth? I recently had a missed miscarriage discovered at 22 weeks (baby measured 17) and I go for my post D&E follow up. My doctor ran clotting tests to see if that was the cause....I guess I am anxious to know, and torn between wanting to have an answer that will give me a solution for the next one and wanting nothing to be wrong and have it have just been a fluke. Also, if it was discovered that your loss was related to clotting factors, have you had success in other pregnancies? Thank you so much for your time and answers and I am so very sorry for your losses, it truely does suck (and that is the only word I can think of to describe it!).

I lost my son at 32weeks and everything came back inconclusive... we will never know what really happened... the only thing that we found out was that he was about a month behind in growth and 'it looked like the placenta hadn't bn functioning properly' (it was about the size of my fist where it should have been alot bigger than that)
i really hope you get some answers.

I lost my son at 21weeks, and so far, they have found nothing wrong. Kasen was healthy and kicked the whole time during labor, but was born sleeping.I have yet to find someone that has had a loss similar to mine to see if they found answers. Hopefully you and I both will find the much needed and sought after answers.

I lost my daughter a year ago (almost to the day) and my other daughter this past October and we are really convinced I have a weak cervix. Was the baby lost before you delivered or after? My daughters were fine but I just went into labor out of no where with them and this can happen with a weak cervix so in my case there is a way to possibly prevent another m/c. I know nothing about the clotting but I wish you all the luck in your next pregnancy.

I was pregnant with twins(a boy and a girl) in 2004-2005 and I gave birth on Febuary 22nd, 2005, 11 weeks early. Right away, they noticed that my little boy had a heart problem, but he was too small and weak to undergo surgery. He died on Febuary 24th, 2005 at only 2 days old.

I lost my daughter at 34weeks on June 16, 2006. It was determined that she died from Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. CMV is a common childhood illness that 95% of people get before they are 5y/o. but CMV normally has no symptoms so nobody knows if you have had it or not... the only way to find out is to test the blood for antibodies. CMV is one of those diseases (like chicken pox) that you are only suppossed to be able to get once. Her infection was so bad that they determined she had it for 3months before her body gave up... The drs say it can never happen again, but that doesnt stop me from worrying that something else might happen next time I get pregnant...

i lost my son at 22 weeks on 19-Aug-07 because of Chorioamnionitis. He was healthy, but he was just born to early. The doctors had stopped my labor, but told me if I started to get sick than I would have to deliver, or I could die. I opted to die, but the doctor said that I was his main concern being that if I died Eric would die anyway, so he asked my husband, and my husband told him to save me because we could always have another child.

It was more sensitive and at early second trimester to early third it starts to open up. i have no idea about clotting but i hope you get the answers you need.
