Stomach pains anyone???

posted 8th Jan '08
I am at 30 weeks today and up untill now my pregnancy has been great, other then the occasional exhaustion and being diagnosed with gestational diabetes, but about two days ago I started having really intense lower stomach pains. It was to the point to where I was was having a hard time walking. It would take my breath away at times. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am assuming that it is from the baby moving down or putting pressure on my womanly parts. It was a very intense cramping and I am just wanting to make sure that is one of the pregnancy growing pains. Thanks Amy

I started having those last monday, I am also 30 weeks. I know that I cannot walk anyfurther than around my house and I have to rest b/c the pain is so sharp. My doctor told me to get a back support and try to see if it will hold the baby up some she said if it doesnt help to call her, and it doesnt help at all. She is out of town this week so Im gonna wait till next week, because my baby is still moving good, I think shes just pressing on something.

Good, it is nice to know that I am not the only one with these god awful pains... not that I would want to wish them on anyone else. So I guess we just have to tough it out then, huh?   I guess I will let my doctor know about them during my next visit and see what he says. "Oh it's just part of being pregnant" is usually the response I get though. Well good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and thank you for letting me know that I am not alone. Amy

I'm 37 weeks and started having them yesterday! THey go up the middle of my stomach and they are a killer! But it just stretch (and seperating!) muscles the dr says. I don't care what it is it SUCKS! The only way I can get any relief is to lay on my side with a pillow against the front of my belly! They are really painful! I mean I've had 7 kids with no pain meds and this was making me cry! UGH! Make sure and rest and don't do so much! Gravity is no friend right now!
