I can't imagine it'd be very comfortable either.

You can try the kangaroo hold. Just when you put your baby in, scoot you LO down just a bit or wrap it slightly loose. One of the tricks you can do to get it to really stay in place is to pull the sides up and keep tightening them as you put it on like how this german chick does (personally though, I prefer just to nurse in the kangaroo hold instead of this hold. my LO likes being more upright while nursing):

That was my BIGGEST problem with it in the beginning and part of me wanted to just throw the whole thing away! Then I discovered the kangaroo hold and it's so much better. I can wear it for several hours a day like that. If you want the video I just posted above this post (not the same, but almost) and look at the kangaroo hold instructions, it should help a bit. It's pulling up on those straps that really helps and I like the kangaroo hold the best since you don't have to guess how tight/loose to make it. Also, you can actually adjust the tightness/looseness of that one and reach your hands underneath the whole thing to readjust easier because you have the center piece on the inside KWIM? Also another one of the biggest problems is I think the fabric is just too wide, but if you fold it in half, it works perfectly and crosses over your shoulders in a way that isn't awkward and doesn't get all twisted up as easily. When you make the X in your back, use two hands to put each side up, instead of trying to cross them over your shoulders at the same time.

You should really give the moby a try! Your baby would love the lotus position if you LO likes to look out at the world, plus its the best for their legs and your back.

Yea!!! I have been wondering about nursing in a carrier. I have the moby for home and a sling for when im out and about.

I have not tried nursing in it though. I have really large breasts and i have to support them when he feeds. Im wondering which of these things would be better for me to try nursing in? My 6 wk old is also 17lbs and 24in long. I dont know if a carrier will support him while bf because i cant nurse him sitting up my breasts are too big.(38 g)

any suggestions would be great!

I think the ring sling may be better for your breast size, but try the moby too bc it'll be more comfortable if u can get it down, maybe the cradle hold? Or the modified hug hold (listed on op...its the nursing in moby one) you could even try lower baby from kangaroo hold but I don't have very big boobs and think your baby could be too bigs already to do that...lemme know what works for you!

they are actually the same design. It is a typical padded rail ring sling

this is me wearing it. I just threw it on real quick. He is nursing in the pic because he just HAS to when he is that close to my chest lolthe "bag of death" works completely different
