FYI upcoming mommas!!

posted 4th Jan '08
It's not in strores yet, But I already pre ordered mine. It's called a SWEETPEACE SOOTHING CENTER by Gracco. I guess it falls under the category of a swing/chair, but then again its unlike either.
Its different that anything Ive ever seen and I really think this gadget would be SO pleasant for you and your newborn. Take a minute and look on
http://www.gracobaby.com/catalog/product.aspx?modelNumber=1G00SWP&subCatId=130. It shows a wonderful demonstration on how it works and its effectivness.
If you already ordered one great! Let me know what you think moms!

Frankly, to me, it looks like something designed to artificiallysimulate the same thing that can be accomplished by carrying your baby in a sling...something dh and I would much rather do. No thanks.

here is a couple
Good product with one major flaw!
By careful dad from MA on 12/28/2007
Pros:
Easy To Set Up, Easy to Store, Fun
Cons:
Poor Construction
Best Uses:
Indoors, Infants
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent, Industry Professional
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought this product for my 2 week old daughter. Overall, the features work as advertised. However, there is one major design/manufacturing flaw that I noticed. On the '6' (widest) speed setting, the swing arm bangs against one side and causes a jolt that is both dangerous and it wakes up the baby. Not sure if anyone else noticed this major problem. Anyway I am off to return it [...].

VERY NOISY

Pros:
Easy To Set Up, Stable
Best Uses:
Infants
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
this is a fantastic swing for colicky children! However, the noise that comes from the arm that allows the swing to sway is VERY noise, I'm talking disturbing me noisy. I can't imagaine this being normal and am going to call GRACO to see if this is normal. Otherwise, GRACO has a wonderful product. Well worth the money to calm your nerves - when you're not listening to it sway that is..

Pros:
Easy To Set Up, Fun, Stable, Strong Construction
Cons:
Difficult to move, Heavy
Best Uses:
Indoors, Infants, Safety
Describe Yourself:
Mommy of Four
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
My husband and I wanted to find one that would work. We switched it out four times and then gave up and bought the papasan. I loved the way it would swing but every one that I would get would stall even if we would give it a little push. We were both very upset and disappointed. Congradulations to those whos swings work very well. I envy you!

Pros:
Easy To Set Up, Fun, Stable, Strong Construction, Super plushy and cute too
Best Uses:
Indoors, Infants, Playtime
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This product is amazing!! Daddy set the swing up in about 5 minutes. I have a one month old that gets quite fussy at night. I put him in this swing and it works like magic. It has so many different options. I love that you can hook your mp3 player right into it to play baby's favorite music. It reclines, it has 4 positions, it has superb music quality and it plugs in, no batteries needed. Oh, did I mention that you can take it out and it becomes a bouncy seat with vibration (simply add batteries)!! It seems the only thing this swing can't do is make his food!! I LOVE THIS SWING! Totally worth the money!!!!

I couldn't get over the woman's large nostrils. The swing looks neat, but she was a bit scary.
