Flower Arrangements for The Griffin/Burkman family

posted 3rd Jan '08
Here is the wreath that was sent from Baby Gaga...

I would like to get 5 nice arrangements for them. One for each of their graves. If you would like to donate to the Floral Arrangements you can do so using this paypal account...my email address is kkalagias@bellsouth.net
If we can not afford 5 nice ones, I will pool the donations to get one huge one.
Any remaining money left over I will personally send to the Griffins/Burkmans. Please put somewhere on there what the money is for...donation towards Griffin/Burkman Family Flowers. Thanks in advance.

Deadline to donate is Sunday AM...I want to have plenty of time for the arrangements to be made. Thanks.

I am open to all suggestions!

******Update*******
We have purchased an arrangement! ;)
I know it will be just beautiful. It's a mainly white floral wreath, with 5 blue carnations, and 5 blue ribbons.
Bethany's favorite color was blue.
The flower arrangement total was $193.10
The current total of donated funds that were leftover after purchasing the flowers is...$129.00 (plus some uncleared payments which total $50.07) updated Jan 8th @ 1:53pm central time

Grand total of all Baby Gaga Raised Funds is...
$372.17

***Update***
The uncleared funds have cleared. It was a total of $48.45 after paypal took their fees. I sent that along this morning to the Griffin/Burkman Family paypal.

I'll probably send you some money tomorrow. I wish I could buy one myself but with Christmas and New Year's my husband had 4 days off each week unpaid, so we'll be trying to play catch up now

are you going to put it from the baby gaga girls, or just the people who donate? I will def be donating towards the flowers either tomorrow or sat.

Hey Kathy. It might be more cost effective to look up a florist in the area of the service. 1-800-FLOWERS is much more expensive than local florists because they have to profit too. I found this out while ordering Ryan's flowers. If you need help finding a florist in Maryland I can help you tomorrow!

Are you looking at the standing arrangements, plants, or actual floral arrangements?

I will have them put "From your family at Baby Gaga" or something on the actual arrangements.
Ican also send a list of all who donated in a card separately.

Not that cost is an issue in the case of a funeral BUT we would have a better chance of getting more flowers/arrangements.

I agree with Jenell...and local flowers will probably get there much fresher and prettier than ones you order online. I got some flowers from my husband once, (sent from flowers.com) and they were bruised and old. I called and requested another bouquet. (btw..I think this is an awesome idea)

With 1800FLOWERS for arrangement like this they put the order through a local florist. 1800 already charges you like $9 or so for delivery (they don't give that to the florist) so the florist takes the money and subtracts delivery and then makes the arrangement based on the adjusted price. Resulting in less for the money. I worked there like 9 years ago lol

My first thoughtis the standing ones...but I am open to any suggestions.

If anyone knows a favorite flower of any of the girls, that info would be great.

Should we send 5 of the same or 5 different?

Thanks Jenell. I appreciate any help with this.

This is a group effort, so it will be a group choice!

I see. Thats pretty cool. My mother sent me flowers from a local company once..they were so grogeous. I think they were from 1800 flowers.
I think the flowers I got from my husband (flowers.com) came with fed ex, LOL. I was shocked!

edit:: nevermind. Im retarded. I see its the same company. Weird. I remember getting a box on my door, with the flowers and vase. they werent done through a local florist though. Idk...need some sleep.
