How do you work while having morning sickness?

Hi everyone,
Im new to the site. Im a 26 yr old single mom with a 8 yr old girl.
I have been dating my bf for about 2 yrs, I just found out im pregnant Dec. 29th.
Every thing seems to be going good, Ive got a good job making good money and finally moved out on my own. But Im really worried I will suffer severe morning sickness like i did with my first child. I didnt work while i was that sick and i know I wouldnt be able to now if it happened.
How do any of you deal with morning sickness?

Iknow how you feel i work a full time job too and it so hard. I just told my boss what was happening and he understood alittle(as much as a man could). i just made sure that when i was ok i did as much as i could and when i was sick well i was in the bathroom.. I had such bad morning sickness and i still do. but there is nothing you can really do

Nothing would make my sickness go away or even help. I basically just had to force myself to go in everyday, even though I felt like roadkill. Luckily, I work in an office and am by myself most the day, so at least I didn't have any witnesses to my misery. I definitely fell behind in my work though.

Let me tell you...I have severe morning sickness...still after all of this time. I work a full time job at an elementary school and a part time job as a manager of Wendy's. I have found it difficult, but manageable. I throw up the most in the morning and just after lunch, so that is when I take my breaks at work. I work with a special needs student in the mornings, so I keep a garbage can near by...I know...gross...but it works.
The doctor gave me some meds for my sickness, but they haven't really worked. Try those Preggie Pops from Babies'R'Us. They have helped me!

NOTHING HELPS. lol Really though, this is my 3rd child and I have had morning sickness up until like a week ago and I'm 34 weeks. I still get it if I get up early and don't take my time getting up. I work in a grocery store and my bathroom is all the way in the back. No good luck for me. lol The best thing that could possibly help is Give yourself an extra hour to get up and calmy get out of bed. Take is slow in the morning. Not sure if this will work for you but I have found that drinking a cold soda and having crackers can help. YEah most people can't drink soda. but it's almost like if I don't I feel like complete and udder sh*t. There isn't really anything that can cure it. Just take it easy!!! and GL

I found ginger ale worked for me. I just made sure I always had some (and my students used to laugh that I was addicted to the stuff - they didn't know I was pregnant and trying not to puke). Otherwise, I just survived it. I thought I had it pretty bad because I was nauseaus all day long, every day until I was about 14 weeks. But it seems there are some women on here who had it worse, so I don't know if the ginger ale would help you if you had it really bad before....I hope you don't get it!

I really hope you have an understanding boss and coworkers. I am a retail supervisor and for 4 straight months I woke up and just jaulted to the bathroom... and anytime I ate it just came right back up. That was the quickest weight I've ever lost but boy I gained it back. People all told me to drink clear sodas and eat crackers and bland foods but that never worked too well for me.
I know this is bad but I had to drink red bull some days because I had zero energy. I find it so weird that I never threw that up.
I still get sick every once in a while. That first trimester was like death though I never took a day off work.
I hope you are a lucky one who doesn't get sick at all.

I didnt have to work, but I had classes when I was prego (including microbiology where we stared at nasty STD pics for 3hours a day!!...lol) Anyway, I sucked on sour candy...really sour jolly ranchers it help me. The sour is suppose to numb the gag reflex.
Good Luck!
