I hope so, but even if they dont and we keep posting in it, it will stay on the first page so we dont have to hunt through all the posts about bfing....I just have such a hard time remembering to take my behind into resources and links...

My daughter has acid reflux and usually for 1-2 evening feedings she'll claw, hit, and arch refusing to latch on. She's almost 3 months old and on acid reducer. If someone has a suggestion I'd love to hear it. I hate seeing her so frustrated.

My son is a champ at brestfeeding except for the fact that I wish He would open his mouth wider to feed. It doesn't hurt while he eats but after it is a little tender.

Oh and he like to watch TV or anything while he was eating which is annoying because he will start laughing or he tries turning his head while he is attatched.

I wish my son would open his mouth a little wider to. He is very tongue tied but my nipples are getting a lot tougher. He is only 10 weeks so I figure by the time he is a year old I will have nipples of steal.

My daughter feeds very well. The only thing now is she is teething. She will bith down like she has a toy or finger in her mouth and pull. It hurts SO bad. Does anyone elses baby do this? If so what do you do about it?

haha nipples of steel.... that has got to be the most romatic thing Ive heard in ages!!! lol

Kim2k7 I would say when she does that to take her off the breast and then put her back on. Maybe then she will get that she cant use your nips as a teether.
I always stopped bfing when they started getting teeth or before, so there are probably some other mommies who could help you wtih that much better than I could

Biting:

Biting can not be done while eating so a baby typically does it when they are full or about to fall asleep.

As soon as the baby bites, withdraw the breast and say a frim no every time.

Do not smile
You can try also saying "that hurts mommy. We don't hurt other people.

If baby is teething, give him/her a cold wash cloth to bite on for a bit before nursing.

When she does it I tell her "No that hurts mommy". So I bought her a massaging teether for xmas. She loves it.

Yeah, I've been very careful about the foods I eat and that hasn't seemed to change things. Thanks for the heads up though!

My son is tongue tied as well! At first I thought my nips were going to fall right off and his doctor kept suggesting that I give up on Breastfeeding b/c he wasn't gaining weight properly. (But she said that 5 days after he was born and my milk didn't come in until day 4)

My son is almost 5 months old now and I have nips of STEEL. They look horrible but I have stuck with it and the boy is far from malnourished. Glad to see that someone else toughed it out with a tongue-tied baby!
