lol, that is how I feel, I feel like a milk machine, or a cow at times lol Ill keep trying different pacis and see how it goes, hopefully it is only a growth spurt like you all say.

Quoting DanYAYelle:“ Breastfed babies can go up to a week without pooping. B/c they use almost 90% of the breast milk, ... [snip!] ... I'm extremely sorry about the thrush, I have heard some horrible things about it. Fortunately I haven't had to battle it yet.”
For your thrush, have try Gentian Violet? Mix it with equal amounts of water and use a q-tip to apply to your nipple before you feed. This stuff works wonders. Your nipples and baby's mouth will be a little purple for awhile but I felt almost immediate relief using it. You can get it from most pharmacies without a prescription.

Maybe have your hubby feed him the bottle at night, b/c he will want the breast if you are giving him the bottle. He might fall asleep better with your hubby rocking him.

give him a bottle so he fills up good enough to sleep for a good length of time, then let him latch long enough to fall asleep. then hell be nice and full, and comforted

Hey all - My baby and I are currently battling thrush/yeast and I have a question - On my left nip, I have a white spot. It doesn't look like a blister, as it's flat against my skin and when I try to hand express milk, it only kind of trickles out of the white area.

Should I be worried and what should I do about it?

Thanks!

And thrush SUCKS! I'm going to try GV if it's not getter in a few days!

r u getting treated? if not, then its only gonna get worse, trust me. but, do u feel like your breasts are emptying, you might have a blocked duct if your only expresing milk from one spot. and that one spot could br thrush, but it could also be just raw from the baby not sucking right if he is sore from thrush in the mouth.

Both me and my son are getting treated from thrush. My boobs are definitely emptying (as they're floppy after feedings -stupid big boobs) and I have no blocked ducts. Interestingly enough I DID have blocked ducts about a week before we discovered the thrush and they went away with standard heat/massage. I'm hoping the spot is just a thrush spot or something that will go away on it's own.

6 days of Diflucan left for me, 4 days of Nystatin for my son and who knows how long I'll try the AF cream on my nips...No real relief yet.

Anyone ever gotten a script for All purpose nipple cream? I want to ask my doc for a prescription, but I don't know if he's heard of it...It's supposed to work on ALL kinds of nipple pain...
