LOL that's ok. I always knew I wanted my kids to be on a schedule but I know he's still young and that's why I'm still flexable. My son slept in a cradle in our room until he was 10wks old. We were going to be going home to visit family and I wanted to make sure he was in his own bed by then since I didn't have a cradle at my parents house. He did just fine switching over and luckily while we were home, he started only waking up once a night. That was probably the part that sucked the most, having to leave the room to nurse him. I like my sleep. LOL

When my son had the flu type thing a few weeks ago he had very runny, moucousy poop with a string or 2 of blood in it. After a few days it just went away. He was going like every hour or so though and even though it was runny, he was straining to go.
I should have re read your post before posting. Has she had the yucky poop for 6 days now did you say?

OK girls. My son is almost four months. He is on the boob juice but I pump for work etc. Lately he isn't really staying latched on to nurse, he'll eat for a second delatch, look around, pull my boob back in then repeat. He's basically playing with his food! I know his teeth are starting to bother him, but I don't think thats it. Any words of advice?

I think everybody is going through this now. LOL a bunch of people, including myself, are going through it. Try BFing in a dark quiet room so that he's not distracted. If that doesn't work, from what I hear, it's a phase that will pass with time. Good luck!

How long does rock hard frozen BM take to thaw in the fridge? And it's good for 24 hours after you put it in the fridge or after it's thawed?

What is the average timeline for newborn growth spurts? My baby is 9 weeks and it feels like he's had one since he's been born! He's averaged a weight gain of 9.4 ounces per week since his 2 week checkup. He routinely eats every 2 hours during the day sometimes every 1 1/2 hours, but at night sometimes he'll go up to 4 or 5 hours.

Anywhere from 12 hours on depending on the fridge temp and where it is in the fridge, how many ounces, the container it's in, etc. I've had a few still be frozen 18-19 hours later. Partially of course. I've always wondered the same thing but I assume they mean from the time it's removed from the freezer because as oon as it starts to warm bacteria can start to grow again.

That sounds like a very normal thing. Most younger babies eat every 2 hours, and you're lucky to have that long stretch at night! I think my son started spacing out his feedings a little more around 3 months of age.

I saw someone posted a link for you, but I believe the big growth spurts are at 2 weeks, 6-8 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 8 months. I haven't ever actually looked at a chart or anything though. Guess I'll be clicking that link too, now that I'm curious lol.

I never have mixed the two, except maybe I added some to bananas a few times. But there is nothing wrong with mixing the two. I wonder why she would think that.

She FINALLY slept. 6 hours!!! I nursed her in her room last night at about 11 1130 and she fell asleep. I put her in her basinett (in our room) and expected her to be up in 10 mins. Well the first time I woke up it was 5am. I went to the bathroom and that usually wakes her up but I laid back down and she got up at six. Ate, and was back asleep by 6:30 and isn't up yet, in fact I just got up. Feels so good!

And I think she is going through a growth spurt. Which makes me upset cause I gave her a bottle (of BM) last night and according to that article it may have messed with it, next few days I am going to try and not give any bottles. But it's hard on the weekend..... At least I pumped right when she was being fed. Here's hoping for a great day, it's starting off wonderfully!

that is weird she would say that. maybe she thinks if you thin it down she will never get used to thicker purees, etc? but i think you should do what you know works best for baby.
