Help!
I noticed last night my supply is suffering because I'm taking Claritin for my allergies. I know that the loratadine CAN affect my BM and in my case it has but my allergies are HORRIBLE. What can I do? I heard local honey helps which I'll try to find/buy today..but I'd like to hear other options as well. My DS is 18 months and he's not ready to wean yet and quite honestly I'm not either </3

Can you talk to your doctor about nasal allergy meds? They don't absorb as much into the bloodstream. I also have horrid allergies. Claritin was my savior before I got azelastine(Astelin).

Local honey is good, but make sure it's RAW honey. Having the honey comb in it is even better.

Are you taking straight Claritin or Claritin-D?

My allergies is mainly my eyes swelling and nose runing.
I believe I have Claritin not Claritin-D. I was prescribed it back when I was pregnant and never took it.

I just blow my nose a lot and try to avoid the Claritin. sorry I can't help more. =(
I'd see if there is something else they can prescribe.

local honey is supposed to help with allergies, but I'm not sure if that would help your specific case.

Nettle pills. They are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding and get rid of my allergies completely. They are at Whole Foods, Fred Meyer and maybe even Walmart these days.
They are becoming commonly used and are 100% side effect free. I LOVE EM!

My son does the same thing, and now that his bottom two teeth are coming in, it tends 2 be sorta painful... I regularly tell my husband that my son has the attention span of a goldfish, lol!!  Quoting krista+2:" My son is a champ at brestfeeding except for the fact that I wish He would open his mouth wider to feed. ... Hey ladies! I have a question and didn't want to make a new topic!

I am pregnant with my third baby and I plan to try to breastfeed. I've never breastfed before! Being on a budget and being one of those lists and planning types, I want to know what kind of things I'll need in the first few months of breastfeeding.
What couldn't you live without or what made your life easier?
