I agree. Someone put it to me this way once: Think about what labor and delivery was like for them. You know it was hard on you, but baby is a lot smaller and probably got pretty tired out and may take a while to adjust to life on the outside. Infants go through a lot of schedule changes and are all different. He may sleep often and not for long now, but could change any time and then probably will. If you're able it's nice to rest with him and just let him suckle and sleep and you too!

I have almost given up so many times over the three kids I've breastfed...you're not alone in that feeling. But you're doing great! Babies that are weeks and even months old do latch on and off frequently, nursing for short times and seemingly all day long. But it will get better and even though you're giving up a few weeks of your life, it's just such a short time. My oldest is 5 and the times he sits and cuddles with me are much fewer and farther apart. And when he does he doesn't want me stroking his hair or kissing his forehead. Enjoy as much as you can.

As for NIP, you'll probably get used to it. Some women never do, but most of us get over it and realize no one that matters is watching and there are plenty of way s to be discreet. You're doing a great job, and coming on here for support is only more proof of that! Good job, mama...keep up the good work!

if you are having a hard time NIP, try doing it in less busy public places first. wear a cami and a shirt over it and you can pull down the cami and pull up your shirt, and you ae still covered excet for the small nipple you have to pull out for the baby, which the baby will cover anyway. you could probably use a regular cami or a special nursing one, i just use a regular one.

good idea. You can also nurse at home in front of a mirror. You see how little is really "out there" for others to see.

Okay ladies, Elijah is very fussy. Everytime I lay him down to feed he starts screaming and won't want to eat. He is teething but I give him tylenol every 4hours so I don't know. He is having green diapers every change for 2days. I feed him solids for a couple days then he had a reaction to it and I stopped it all together until he is really ready(posted about that a few days ago). Oh and he spits up every feeding even if it is the little bm that he eats before he screams bloody murder(he is on the breast for about 1-2mins before he starts screaming). I know what to do, I don't know what it is. I am just losing my mind bc I really don't know what it is and I really want to help, to fix, to make him happy but it is just not happening. Please help!!!
