I agree...

Be sure to eat extra, and maybe some supplemental drinks...

Just because your hubby isn't having an issue doesn't mean anything. It could definitely be the water. There could be something in it that doesn't agree with your gut. Maybe try drinking bottled water only for a few days and then switch back and see what happens!

Hmmm...that is odd! There must be some type of little organism in the meat and water that just isn't working for you.
Bottled water tastes better anyway! lol!!

I'd defiantly get the bottled water.

Red meat does that to a lot of people I know, especially if it's greasy and you already are having stomach problems.

If your still taking your prenatal, and drinking enough. (Maybe even gator aid to replace electrolytes) Then your milk should not be affected.

From everything I know the quality of your milk shouldn't decrease very much based on your diet, but your own body would be the one to suffer, but if your dehydrated, then it will reduce the amount of milk you produce.

Brittany~ Sorry I change my avi very often!!! He he he...

My baby is now 2 weeks old, I've been breastfeeding him for 1 week now. I started to notice that for about 3 feedings in a row a day he likes to feed for about 10-20 minutes all together, then he seems to be full and nods off, so I lay him down so he can nap/sleep, then 20-40 minutes later he's crying again looking for my boob! Is there a way I can get him to continue feeding so that I am not feeding him every hour? I tried to run his chin to wake him up, but he doesn't budge until I lay him down and he realizes he's still hungry!

SOme ways to keep him awake are to strip him down to his diaper, rub his cheeks or play with his ears, and/or tug on his hair gently while bf'ing. It is tough though...all little babies are prone to the 'boob coma' lol.

I would just expect him to wake up in 20 minutes... and get what you can get done, or make a snack to eat when he wants to eat again...

I don't think there is a way to keep them awake, but as they get older they'll do it on there own.

so then it's not a bad thing? My mother said not to get him used to that because as he gets older he'll get used to feeding on that schedule...I can't image that!

No that's just silly. As he is able to stay awake longer, he will, and he will eat more at one time. I don't know if your Mom formula fed, but formula feeding is different, they're aren't as comfortable and susceptible to fall asleep, and it's easy to force feed them. So right now it's just annoying (Even if you want to call it that)

have you been tested for solmonella? My husband had these symptoms years ago and it ended up being he had solmonella. The whole family had to be tested and my son had it also (although he was showing no symptoms).
