Quoting midnight moon: My Katy is 4 weeks old today and I've got another poop question. Since yesterday afternoon her poop has ... [snip!] ... Not for as long as before but she did still scream. I don't know what to do. We are both completely miserable and exhausted.

Quoting Nasii is a Mommy: My daughter is 10 days old, and at the hospital they gave her a bottle until I was off of magnesium sulfate ... [snip!] ... breast milk in a bottle but I really would perfer for her to latch on rather than me pumping. Does anyone have any advice???It sounds as though you aren't letting down fast enough for her. This is very common in babies used to a bottle because they get to like that instant gratification, lol. Massage your breast and hand express some milk before letting her latch so that you have already let down when she latches. That way she doesn't have to work to get the milk to come down and it is already flowing when she starts.

Quoting purplebaby1216: My daughter is also 4 weeks and is doing the same. She is also choking on the milk some too. I spoke ... [snip!] ... my bra, in a lot of pain if she goes longer then 1.5 hours without nursing etc, so that is one of the signs of the oversupply.
Quoting Nasii is a Mommy: Thank you,I will try that during the next feeding

Quoting HollsSN: You can also put a warm ( as hot as you can stand it) wash cloth on your nipple RIGHT before you feed her and that will get your milk to let down. As soon as it lets down you can latch her!
