Don't feel guilty... I used that swing to no end... I cant tell you how many nights Jamil spent in the swing. The last time I used it at night was about a month ago... It works, it's loud and annoying, but it gave me SO much sanity...

That used to be my DH's concern.. I'm glad your going to visit family, you can get your break and some support and people to socialize with, that will be nice.

they are just one state up in NC. Justin is putting in applications everywhere, in the police force field. So we are hoping to move in the next couple of months.

It's hard raising a baby with no friends or family. You loose yourself completely. I mean don't get me wrong I love my son to death and moving won't change my parenting at all, but it will be nice to know that someone could be there for him if I asked.

yeah thats the hard part. we have done really well so far on our own though. but without me working is kind of sucky   and its hard to find a place you trust to watch them when you have nobody else for backup or references. hopefully he will get a job closer to home then

for real! in one week, on the boise evening news, there were three different day care stories.
one left a 2 yr old in the daycare van for 3 hours (its mid 90's everyday here) he had to stay in the hospital, but was ok
at an in-home daycare a man was arrested for child molesting (his wife ran it)
and another daycare had drug issues
so no day care for me, ever!

its nice to know i'm not the only one without any friends and family lol

we have a pack n play, but im already taking the travel system and luggage and carryon for my flight, so the pack n play will not be coming w me. my cousin has one i can borrow, or he'll sleep with me.

yeah for my trip i am taking a small duffle bag, that will hopefully be able to be small enough for a carry on, since i cna wash clothes there, so i dont need much, and lylians clothes take up ractically no room, plus you can take a diaperbag on board that isnt considered a carry on, so i can put stuff in there too   and i am checking her car seat. i am not taking the stroller, i am ust gonna put her in the snugli and walk with her in that. and my mom has a packn play if i needed it, and toys and stuff, or else she will buy me anything i need. and i am just gonna take enough diapers to get me there, and buy diapers when i get there.

its a pain taking his travel system, but i need the stroller to go walking. i am taking him in my baby bjorn carrier so i can have two hands going through security and whatnot. my luggage is huge! lol
im also just bringing enough diapers to get me there.
you can take a diaper bag in addition to your carry on? thanks for the info, i will do that. diaper bags can hold an insane amount. i never use a diaper bag, since i dont have to carry formula or bottles. i just throw a diaper and wipes in my purse...but i will be stocking my diaper bag now!

i couldn't find any info for her exact situation but I would assume it would be better to BF I haven't found many situations where the breast isn't.

thats what the guy on the phone told my mom, that you can take a diaper bag in addition to your carry on  

Hey Ladies! I have a question! I remember this discussion a couple times where a baby was having wierd poops and it was because the baby wasn't getting enough hind milk. What exactally was different with the poops? LOL

I have a friend that actually isn't going through this but is a new BFing Mom that wants to make sure the baby is emptying the breasts. I told her her son sounded fine but I was trying to think of what not getting enough hindmilk did to the poop and couldn't!
