So he seems to be getting mad because the milk doesn't come out right away? So basically he's impatient for the letdown. That can be common with babies who are mixed fed.

You can try pumping for a minute right before nursing, so that you are already starting your let down. Another option is to get a syringe, suck up some pumped milk into that. Hand express some milk and have it on your nipple, then when latching, you can take the syringe and slowly squirt some in his mouth.

You can also try latching before he is really hungry, so he's not frantic.

Quoting Abby's Boob Bitch:“ My daughter has an extreme boob preference.. And she won't take the bottle of pumped milk I'm offering ... [snip!] ... What can I do to get her to take it? She's wanted 4 feedings in 3 hours and I know that my breasts aren't satisfying her. Help!”
She's probably comfort nursing during some of that time. Just keep nursing her. Giving her a bottle is just going to make it worse. She will get your supply up to what she needs.

If you do need to increase your supply, you can also pump more often, try malt o meal, malted ovaltine, fenugreek, oatmean (real, not instant).

If you do need her to have a bottle, have someone else give it. She probably won't take it from you, because she doesn't understand why you won't just nurse her.

Definitely sounds like a growth spurt. My LOs lasted about 2 days where he was eating every 1.5 to 2 hrs. However, if you do want her to take the bottle for times when you're not able to give her the boob, have someone else do it. She most likely will not take it from you.

Its not just when hes really hungry as soon as i turn him into like a nursing hold he just starts thrashing and kicking and scratching its hell. I mean I love breast feeding but its gotten me so down because he just doesnt want it at all anymore.

Before now (the last few weeks) he was only having boob at night and in the morning now he wont even go near it

Some babies will go on a nursing strike and do that. Have you tried laying down with him to nurse when it's like that. Sounds like he has just started liking the bottle more because it's like instant gratification.

You could also try latching him on when he is really sleepy. He may not fight as bad then. Or in the bathtub. As well as try the other trick with the syringe. It's like having to reteach him to associate the boob with food. GL!

My son does the same thing. But sometimes he'll be fast asleep and my boobs will let down but instead of swallowing he will unlatch and milk will get everywhere!

My lo has 6 teeth. I just try to make a big loud deal about it when she bites and that seems to work the best for us. I can't really help yelling "owww!" and it scared her so bad last time she hasn't tried again. All babies are different though...also take him off as soon as he bites and don't let him try to latch back on right away. If he's at the end of the feeding just take him off until next feeding and he may get the idea if he bites he doesn't eat.
