Did she not want to nurse for this long while she was teething? It just seems like a long time to me, but I suppose since he has an alternative, he knows he has another option.

my son's strikes never lasted that long. I think the longest was 24 hours, but that was to everything. not just the breast.

but every baby is different. Do you have teething tablets you could give himright before a nursing session?

I don't have any here at the house but I'll run out and get some. They won't hurt him if that's not the problem, will they?

Mine is 8 months old and has been teething off and on for months (still no teeth though) . . . It was hard to tell at first if she was teething or gas or tired or what? It seems like she'll drool, run a few low temps, knaw on her hand and if its not too bad enjoy it when i rub on her gums but i still have never seen white spots and sometimes they'll get really swollen and not so much at other times. So yeah it sounds like yours is teething too

Your describing my child, and she's only a month old! She has a few white dots on the front of her gums, she's had then since she was born. We swear she is going to cut teeth by the end of this month. Is this even possible? The nurses said they looked like white dots on her gums and they could be teeth coming through but um, we were a bit shocked so yeah lol.

He may just not be hungry... Offer the breast every 30 minutes but not sooner, unless he acts like he wants it...

His gums may also hurt... Maybe offer some tyenol or oragel or a cold paci or something like that.
