Quoting EastonsMom:“ My son loved the boob around that age, but the more mobile he gets the less interested in it he is. ... [snip!] ... he still loves to BF, but it just isn't the same. When are you planning on weaning? Or are you going to let her self-wean?”I don't know when we're going to ween I keep saying at the one year mark but as that time grows closer and sloser I become more and more weary! I don't know who it'll be harder on me or her! . . . . . . Wow after all that struggling and after many a times wanting to quit (especiallyaround 3 am with her screamingand my nips about to fall off)and Now the time comes closer and I don't want to How old is your son and when are you guys weening

Quoting trinimama:“ Yea I've noticed my daughter definitely doesnt poop as much again.. she does about 2-3 times a week ... [snip!] ... areola in..what am i doing wrong?? She also sucks her tongue regularly now, once the paci or the boob isnt in her mouth ”
Quoting EastonsMom:“ my son will be 11 months next week. I said 6 months, that came and went. Then I said a year, but now ... [snip!] ... any more. Anyways i'm rambling, but 2 years. I'm hoping he well self-wean by then but if not then i'll step in and assist.”

Quoting poosk:“ the not so often pooping is normal. as she gets older the pooping becomes less frequent. jonas is almost ... [snip!] ... my supply had vanished. i can go 4-5 hours without nursing and they stay relatively soft, but the letdown is usually immediate.”
Quoting mamacj:“ My son has always been primarily bottlefed (breastmilk) but has never had a problem transitioning between ... [snip!] ... He also has been super fussy/cranky these past two weeks so I'm not sure what is going on. Any help would be appreciated!”
Quoting lolajessup:“ he's not taking bottle or breast? i am confused.”He's not taking the breast and is fine with the bottle.
Quoting mamacj:“ He's not taking the breast and is fine with the bottle.”

Quoting EastonsMom:“ does he have signs of teething? I know that my son would go through nursing strikes when cutting teeth. ... [snip!] ... when cutting teeth. The sucking needed for BFing is stronger than that of a bottle and causes more pressure on the gums.”I've thought it may be teething but I can't really tell. He always wants to put everything in his mouth anyway, though lately he seems to want to chew more. And chilled teethers does seem to help his fussiness sometimes. I don't see any swelling or white spots under the gums though. I've heard that they dislike nursing while teething, but I didn't know why so that makes sense about the pressure. Is there any sure way to tell if they are teething or not?
