Yes! SO true about the over producing in the begining! I did that and after a few weeks it slowed down and now i feel like sometimes I dont produce enough. Like someone else said, pump a little before and store that milk. You can never have too much stored milk! And if youre only feeding off of one side, make sure youre switching sides at each feeding and pumping the one she doesnt feed off of. Store store store!

Thanks, I'll try that and see if it helps her  !I've been pumping once a day after she eats (and I'm still getting about 5 ounces after she eats), but now I'm worried that I'm boosting my own supply and causing the over-production...oh, the joys of motherhood, right?

Why are you pumping after she eats?

To get a supply of frozen milk for when my classes resume. I was pumping after she ate because I was worried about not producing enough to pump and feed her, so I pumped right after feedings so I had a couple of hours to replenish my milk before she ate again...I guess that's not a problem though!

Doesn't look like it   Are you going to pump when you are at school?

Toula has started spitting up for the last month..but it's not just a little. It doesn't spew out..but it just keeps coming. It looks like someone is pouring a cup of milk OUT of her mouth. What's wrong?!

Yeah, but the problem is that my school is 2 hours away (long story and I only have to go a couple of days a week thank goodness), so I'll be pumping and dumping for some of the day because I won't have a freezer to use there. I'll probably save my last pump to freeze, but I won't be able to keep all of it, so I'm trying to get a good jump-start on the stocking up process! It's going to be tricky, but it's worth it for my little girl  !

That's awesome that you're doing that!!! Will a cooler work? (I'm sure you've already thought of everything, thought I'd mention it just in case  )
My Medela pump manual says that freshly expressed breastmilk will keep for 24 hours at 59 degrees (cooler with 3 frozen ice packs). It's on page 3 if you have one.
