Yeah, I just sent them another email asking for a refund since I bought the other one anyways! I only had that pump for a couple weeks before it died on me!! So whatever. I'm so excited though!! I really hope this works!! I feel like such an awesome mom when I feed her my breastmilk!!

Me too. Everyone says "Don't feel guilty!" But I feel like sometimes I make excuses..and it makes me feel so bad. I've just had a pretty damn hard time breastfeeding! But there is no way I'm going to give up!! I'll keep trying!!

Ok...this might have been asked,but I don't feel like going through all 200 and something pages...so here it is. Last weekend was my birthday and I turned 21...and it kinda sucked. Well this coming up weekend is my friends birthday and one of our friends suggested we go out clubbing (which is not usually my thing) and drink and possibly get drunk....cause I'm legal now. Well...im breastfeeding and I don't really know how to go about drinking alcohol and breastfeed. My friend also has a baby that was born like a week after me and she is breastfeeding and says that as long as i pump enough for my baby to drink off of for 2 or 3 days she should be fine...but I just don't know. What do you think and if I can....how many days should i wait before breastfeeding again....? I have bottle and breastfed and she does really good with transitioning. So I'm not worried about that. Any advice would be appreciated.

I just started back to work and my pump stopped working so WIC gave me onee!! They get the Medella pump in style's to give to breastfeeding mothers!!

I turned 21 not too long after I had Camden and it's totally okay to drink.
Make sure you have enough to feed your baby overnight, and long enough the next day for the alcohol to get out of your system.
The alcohol doesn't just sit in your breastmilk, it filters out of the breastmilk just as much as it does throughout the rest of your body .. so if you have enough to feed your baby until the alcohol is out of your system, you will be fine!
It's usually a little over an hour or hour and a half for each drink I do believe ( don't quote me on that) but there is not enough alcohol in a beer or two to really pass through the breastmilk like you think.

yes! They also gave me a nursing bra..
They receive a bunch of those pumps to give to breastfeeding mothers that are returning to work. I seriously was like a freaking kid that just got the perfect christmas present! lol..
I was soooo freaking excited and overwhelmed that they gave me such a nice pump!

So...if i get slobbering drunk it won't hurt her as long as i wait atleast a day? What if i can't produce enough milk for her by Saturday? Would it be okay to give her formula?

It is two hours per drink for it to be filtered out. Since you haven't been drinking much, it won't take much to get you sloshed, lol. You should be fine by afternoon/late afternoon the next day to start breastfeeding again. So just make sure you have enough bottles pumped to cover that period of time. To make sure you don't get engorged or down your supply, you'll have to pump and dump during that time.

If you just had a couple of drinks, you could just continue nursing after the 4 hours period (2 drinks=4 hours to get out of your system). There is no need to pump and dump when you've only had a couple.

Pump like crazy to get a stock.  Then Just wait two hours per drink and you'll be fine.  Like mamacj said, you shouldn't have to wait too long.  Just make sure to pump and dump to keep your supply up.  

I wouldn't get too wasted, though if it were me, just because you'll feel like crap the next day and have to try pumping until you've waited long enough and just make sure you can remember how many you've had so you'll know when you can  nurse again.

wIC has a breastfeeding grant for the next 5 months, they can see anyone. WIC or not and have board certified lactation consultants.

I got a question for the girls that took Fenugreek.... After you started taking it, how long did it take for your milk supply to go up? And also, how many pills did you take? The bottle says I think one or two but I've heard to take a lot more.
