Kate forwarded your email to me. I watched the CNN story and thought
everyone did a good job in focusing on the victims and the real
tragedy.
Unfortunately, the Ravens have not responded to the request and I have
not
heard back from the player Foundations that I contacted. It is
unfortunate
and I was also hoping that last night's coverage would help.

On a very positive note, Steve Davis, Sports Director of WBAL radio and
a
great friend of MADD's placed the link to the Griffin family donations
page
on his website and spoke about the crash last night on his radio show.
I
hope that helps. We will continue to try and help in any way we can.
You
should know that there are MADD victim advocates in Ohio and Michigan
who are
ready and willing to help the family as well.

I am so very sorry that we are meeting under such tragic circumstances.

heart goes out to all of Bethany's friends and family as you try and

the Ravens and am waiting to hear back from them about helping the
family. I
will also continue to contact some of the individual players who have
foundations to see if they may be able to help as well. Please know

will do our best and that we will be here for the family. I will be

Nancy Kelly as well as our office in Ohio so that the family will have

Getting the family the help they need right now is very important. No one should have to worry about this sort of stuff during this stage of the greiving process. Thank goodness there are people out there who are willing to help.

That is amazing about Steve Davis, i'm so thankful that so many people are getting involved to help them out. They truly are such a deserving and wonderful family.

Do you think i should go ahead and have all bazillion (literally) women begin writing letters, making phone calls, signing petitions, etc...for the Ravens or are you guys still working on it? Just let me know, i'm sure you guys deal with this kind of thing way more often than i do, so i'm not really sure at what point we should give up trying to contact them through an organization and begin the emotional pleading as individuals.

I don't give a rat's behind if they had seatbelts on or not, they were driving along PEACEFULLY and in the PROPER direction and shouldn't have had to worry about the other drivers on the road!!!

I don't see this happening in the immediate future, but perhaps down the road...Extreme Makeover Home Edition. The Griffin Family is the exact type of family they are always willing to help out. I keep visioning a wall full of digital picture frames with pictures of the family, and Mellie's video placed in a memorial room.
That is where my mind keeps going when I drift in and out of sleep.
I would without a doubt travel to helpout in anyway I could, as I am sure most of the Gaga Family would too.

I agree, I have contacted Oprah (she's awesome teehee), this is a story that has gone nationwide, many people are aware of what happened. There are people out there with the ability to help this family get back on their feet and help them, you just have to ask.

Nothing will take the pain from losing your family or friends, money won't solve that, but making it so they don't have to worry about medical expenses, funeral expenses, whatever......will allow them to put their attention on greiving, and taking care of eachother.
