diaper champ

I heard that the diaper champ was loads better than the diaper geanie (sp?) SO, we registered for the diaper champ..... When I took it out of the box, I realized that you stick the diaper in the proper area, grab the handle, and turn it over... THAT"S IT?!?!??!?!!? No twisting or sealing?! It just gets put in the trash anyways! Is the plastic top somehow a sealer? Or is it as crappy as it seems?! I've never delt with diapers... so I don't know how stinky they can truely be.. therefore I know NOTHING about these geanies or champs or whatever!

I dont know about the champ but the diaper genie gets rid of my daughters stinkiest.Trust me,they get baddd.The other night I thought I was going to puke before I put it in the genie(tmi?)
Btw...have you never changed a diaper?You definitely need some practice before baby arrives if you havent.I know I didnt change any diapers until I was 6 months pregnant.

I have the Diaper Genie II and love it. I’ve never had any problems with odor.

I've only attempted pee diapers and even at that I didn't do a good job. My friend told me "you have to spread and get between the cracks" .. I refused and said "I feel like I'm violating her"..... her reply of course was that the baby can't do it herself!!! LOL so... I'm practically a diaper changing virgin! I know they stink.... and will stink as they sit in the trash.. I just wonder about those genies and champs... are they worth the money?

I havent had much experience with the diaper genie, but I know a lot of people who have and loved it. I worked in a nursery for 6 years, and we had the champ. It worked REALLY well. You couldnt smell anything at all in it. The only thing is the champ is a little difficult to open to change the bag, but I still really liked it. Im not sure which one Im going to get for my baby...

I have this one and it works better then both. My each had of them untill they came over to my home and used mine and tossed theirs and got mine. M y daughter is on table food and whole milk and I still smell nothing.
