I know that this does happen. I am pretty sure that you would be fine health wise.

I haven't been in the same boat, but many here have. Hopefully they'll provide some help and advice here soon for you.

I just want to say good luck to you, you're going to have your hands full!

All I doknow though is if you're pregnant and still BFing, you may not be able to after a few months because I am pretty sure pregnancy diminishes your milk supply due to hormonal changes in the body during pregnancy.

Well, you have a higher risk of miscarriage and other various problems due to your body not being fully healed. Some doctors suggest waiting at least 6 months to a year after having a baby...some are even saying 18 months! However, you could be just fine :-)

It's too close, officially. It can make your pregnancy harder and put you at risk of preterm labor. But accidents happen, and lots of mamas have done it before you and been ok. So don't stress too much! Good luck!

My kids peds doctor says he and a brother are 8 months apart so yeah. It can definitely happen. I don't believe it'll endanger your life or anything...but your body hasn't gotten the chance to return to its pre-pregnancy state.

Don't stress...Many women have had babies back to back (to back to back etc) and lived to tell about it. This pregnancy would be harder on your body but not impossible for you to manage. Like someone else said, you may not be able to nurse for the duration of your pregnancy. Your supply could diminish or your current child will turn away from the breast because of the changes in the milk.

Exactly. But be prepared for complications if you are. They may never come, but knowing they could might make you better prepared for them. I'm not saying stress about it, but definitely be aware of your body.

I go with doctors who say 18 months is the best timing. My daughter was 17 months when we accidently got pregnant with this one. It's been one thing after another my whole pregnancy...including bleeding at 14 weeks, premature rupture of membranes at 20 weeks, out of control Gestational Diabetes....it's been nutty.

But because my experience hasn't been the brightest, doesn't mean anything. Just as others who've had beautiful, uncomplicated pregnancies really have nothing to do with you. It all depends on your own body.

I work with a girl who got pregnant 8 weeks post partum and her son was born at 28 weeks. They were7 months apart. (is that right, I can't remember the weeks exactly, just that they were 7 months.)

She didn't go to term with the pregnancy.
