I WAS ADOPTED- thread open for all

Hello! Im starting a new thread for mama's that were adopted.

This thread is open to everyone. Mama's that are TTC, mama's that have given up their babies, or people that are adopted. Anyone can comment, but please be respectful.

im not adopted but I did place my daughter for adoption in August

I was adopted when I was 6.....good idea OP  

I'm not adopted but do come from a background of adopted parents. I'm in the process of looking for my Grandparents.

I met my birthmother last year, and my two half sisters.

How did you get in contact with your birthmother? I can't seem to find a way to find my mother lol

Vital records is where my husband started. He found my birth mothers DOB, and age. Then from there we started searching on line. We actually found both of my parents through obituaries.

i wasnt adopted but my dad was, and ive spent my life curious as to who my real grandparents are, and if there is anything that could happen to my son because of their genetics that i dont know about...

My name is Kassy and I was adopted at 48 hours old. I have a wonderful mother and believe adoption can be a wonderful thing.

I have recently found both my birth mother and father. This whole experience has been full of emotion, joy, excitement, sadness, and much more. I am 24 and meeting my birth parents, and siblings and overall I am dealing with it very well. ( I cant not imagine meeting them earlier as it is not easy to deal with the emotion that comes with answers you will receive. I say that because I have seen some open adoption/mothers meeting their 'children'.) I have a sister... (that is actually on this site now) and an older bother from my birth mom. Through my birth dad I have about 6 siblings. If you wish you know anything else about me, my experience or thoughts feel free to PM message me.

This is one of the reasons that I started looking again for my birth parents. I had no idea about medical background for my daughter. I found my birth dad when my daughter was 3 months, and my birth mom when my daughter was little over a year. WE all have a wonderful relationship now. All of them are great people.
