im so excited!! we finally got the crib set up after it took forever to figure out how we were going to arrange the bedroom to fit it all in there   and i have my 1st shower this weekend!! i will have to post some picture once i get a chance. *note i haven't gotten crib bedding yet* lol hoping someone will buy that for a gift but probably a long shot.
QUESTION!! how many people are actually going to get a bassinet to sleep next to the bed vs how many people are going to get a "in the bed" sleeper?? im trying to decide which one i want because i really dont have that much room

I'm going to use a pack n' play with the removeable bassinet for the first couple of weeks. I will put her in the crib during the day for naps, but I don't want to have to run over to the other side of the apartment during the night.

I have a cradle set up next to my bed (everybaby in my husbands family has used it for 47 yrs). Then after a couple months I'll use the crib (nursery is across the hall from us). During the day though I have the pack n play w/ the removable bassinet set up down stairs. Considering how often a new born will be sleeping I figured it would be easier than constintly running up and down the stairs and it has the removable changing table as well so I don't have to worry about the dogs getting in the way if I were to change the baby on the couch or floor.

Her hands were in front of her face the whole time!! But, it was still so cool to see my little girl in real time.

I have a bassinet next to my bed...have his crib in his nursery and in the front rooms I have the pack n play with the bassinet thingy in it.....my friend did the sleep with the baby thing and she had the hardest time getting him to sleep on his own...so if you don't have to, I wouldn't put him/her in bed with you but thats my opinion

30 WEEKS!!! YAY!!

I have a bassinet to put by our bed for the first couple months. I don't want to start letting him sleep in the bed, because then I will never get him broke of it i'm afriad.

yea thats what i thought...i would never get him to sleep on his own again.....but i know ill put him in the bed a couple of times. i can tell. but ill probably end up getting a bassinet. then i just have to talk my fiance to switching sides of the bed so i can sleep next to him. im sure after one night and the baby crying next to himhe will lol
