for you who got or are getting induced...

did yer doctor offer it to you or did you ask?
how early did you get induced?
i'm just curious

My doctor offered it out of the blue. It was my appointment on May 1st and I still hadn't dilated or effaced. He offered to have me come in on the 2nd and she was born on the 3rd. Which was my due date!

with my first i was induced when i was 10 days overdue. i begged for it. i also ended up having an emergency c-section cuz my baby was too big and was stuck.

My doctor brought it up, I was developing preeclampsia, so I didn't have much of a choice.

They are more supposed to be more painful than regular contractions, but I had an epi, so I have never felt an actual contraction.

i was sceduled for a c section 6days before my due date. but i was expected to have a 10lber!

my doctor said that she would just cuz my husband is military and has to take leave and to make for sure that he will not be gone, and my hospital is about an hour away and my doctor lives like 2 hours away, so i kinda really have no choice unless i go into labor way early. but they will only do it if i am effaced and ready to go, but i will see her weekly until that point so we will se i guess...

My doctors and midwives told me I had to be induced because I had insulin controlled, gestational diabetes and they didn't want me to go a day overdue. Also, because my baby was estimated on the larger side.

I was induced on my due date and Ryan was 10lb 13oz. Thank god they wouldn't let me go overdue.

my doctor said that i was going to have to be induced.
mainly because it was 4 days before my due date and i wasn't dialated or effaced at all.
i was 39 weeks and 5 days when my son was born.

Yeah, the pitocin is supposed to makes the contractions come hard and fast. I didn't really feel it at all lol.... and I had no drugs.... I had the pitocin running through for 11 hours and I didn't have any strong contractions.... I only made it to 3cm after 11 hours though,so I had to have a c-section.

The midwives were amazed that I couldn't even feel the contractions, they said on the highest dosage I was on, it normally rips women apart but my body shut down and didn't respond to it.

My doctor suggested it-I was induced 1 week early because she was afraid that he'd be too big if we went full term. I did it naturally-the pitocin did make the contractions strong, but they started out slow and turned it up a little at a time.

My doc told me yesterday that if my blood pressure doesnt go down they may have to induce me.

My doctor offers an induction to all her patients at 39 weeks.
