for those of you who have had a d&c

what was your bleeding like? mine was bad the day i had the surgery but then stopped for 4 days after that then yesterday i started bleeding and clotting bright red and it hasnt stopped....is that normal? the doctor said it is but im in so much pain it hurts to sit down or bend over.

I had a D & C before. The bleeding was strange. After my first day it was light than heavy than light again.Comes and goes and you get these weird clots. I had irregular bleeding for about a month. It is normal. You will get back to normal soon. It is painful. Just rest and things will fall back in place.

with mine, i had to go back 2 weeks later for another one because they left some of the placenta inside...

the bleeding was heavy the whole time!

I had a D&C in October and after the procedure I wasn't in any pain. I had bleeding similar to a cycle. The bleeding lasted for about 4-5 afterwards then it completely stopped. Then about 1-2 weeks later I started bleeding again for 2 days and that was it. I started my cycle again November 13 and had a D&C on Ocotober 12. My cycle is getting back to normal coming every 28-29 days. I'm back on the pill to help regulate it because I always had really really heavy periods. As for pain I took 800 mg of IB profen. You can take 4 200mg tablets too. No sex for 2 weeks and no alcohol within 24 hours of surgery. Oh and no tampons just maxi pads. Oh I hated that stage because I'm such a tampon girl.
