help! rash on face

is anybody else coming down with a rash like excema all over there face and arms since theyve been pregnant and if u are how do u get rid of it its drivin me mad m 18 weeks pregnant.

Hey, that sounds like me around the same time of my pregnancy. I didn't have the rash on my face, just my arms and sometimes it used to itch like hell! My doctor prescribed a topical cortisteroid, which did nothing but just make the rash worse so I went to a drugstore and got one of those ayudervic products called Calm Cream. Not sure of it worked or not coz I really didn't use that much and the rash just went away by itself. One day it was there, the next poof! it was gone. I guess its one of those hormone related stuff that affects your body. Don't pay attention to it if you can. To keep the itch away I soothed the areas with ice (or a washcloth placed in the freezer for a while) and rubbed aloe vera cream on the affected areas.It worked for me, might for you too. Let me know how that works and don't worry too much about it, tis part of the joys of pregnancy!

Not to worry you or anything but someone on this forum saved my baby's life by telling me this - you NEED to get your liver checked. I was itching ALL over - to the point that not only did I have rashes, but scabs as well. It was all over my face, my legs, my knees, etc...etc...doctors shrugged it off by saying it was pregnancy-related and normal, but I insisted my liver be checked and that it was NOT normal. Needless to say, my body was not excreting cholesterol and that can cause stillborn if labor isn't induced by the 36th week and liver problems for my son. So please, please, please have your liver checked and do NOT let them shrug you off. Good luck with this and I hope I haven't worried you about this - but someone else, like I said, told me this same thing and she was dead on about it!!!

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago. After my doc ruled out a liver problem, he gave me some antibacterial face ointment. I hated the stuff but it worked ovenight! Literally... I woke up the next morning and had NOTHING on my face. Hope something works out for you

Hopefully it's not her liver, and I don't mean to worry her but had someone not told me about getting my liver checked, my son might have died. I just want to make sure. I'm glad yours wasen't a liver issue and hopefully hers isn't either. Sometimes, I know, there are pregnancy-related rashes.

Oh I know all about getting the liver checked. I have to have it checked becasue of the meds I am on anyways so they would have seen something then or even pre-pregnancy.
