Girl Name--Ryann?

posted 25th Dec '07
Hi there, my hubby and I are having the worst time coming up with a girls name. We already have a daughter named Alyssa.....and my husband hates any other names I like, and the only thing we can compromise on is Ryan(n) (I like the 2 n's but I don't want pople to pronounce it"ry-anne") and possibly Jaimie. I need honest opinions here, since they're both unisex name. What's everyone think?

I personally like Ryan for a girl, even though it seems to have only become unisex recently. Jamie is cute too, but I prefer Ryan over Jamie.

Omg, I love you guys. I was liking it too, but started wondering about how others would view it, since it's more of a boys name.

Are you going to pronounce in Ryan or Ry-ANNE?? If you want to make it more girly you should pronounce it Ry-anne.

I had a friend named Ryan once, and I thinkwith the right personality behind it, the name can be pulled off very well. But if she is too shy it might hold her back more. ((Just something to think about - not trying to rain on your parade x_x))

It would definitly be pronounced "Ryan" NOT Ryanne..... And I agree...it could be pulled off with the right personality.....

Oh ok. I definitely prefer Ryanne for a girl. Ryan to me is a total boy name, like Kyle.
