Bens arrived!
I woke up wednesday December 19th @ 6:15am ready to go into the hospital, but unluckily they were way to busy to have us come in and told us to call back at about 11am. With all the anticipation my mom and I baked tons of cookies and recleaned the house... Finally we called at 11am and the labor nurse said they still had a lot of people in house and would call us when they had availability...ugh! I was pretty much writing off delivery on the 19th. THEN...12:30pm we recieved the "go" call!!! We packed ourselves up and took off to my life changing birthing experiance!!
Heres my Birthing Story:
Our room was beautiful, hard to enjoy though because once I got there, anxiety took over and I became a little frightened... everything happened so fast! I arrived and check in took about an hour, then the Dr. arrived at 1:30pm started my petocin and when I thought she was just doing an exam I was very surprised to feel her breaking my water!! (Which by the way is WAY WEIRD)... 10 minutes later I started getting severe contractions. They lasted abotu 10 minutes apart for about 2 hours and when they started coming 2-3 minutes (around 3:30pm or so) I was SCREAMING in pain. This is when they promplty sent in my BFFL (Epidural Guy) in and he did his magic!!! My body responded quick and I didnt feel ONE contraction after that. I was the happiest person ever... I kept looking at the monitor and seeing when my contractions were and how they were dbl the intensity of the ones I thought I was dying from. Lets just say, anyone who goes naturally...I give them props! Anyway... I dialated quicker then anyone expected and watched tv for most of my labor... I even took a short nap. My lucky husband got to surf the net instead of the earlier experiance on my hurting of his limbs! Heres what he wrote under my comments to update people:
4:10pm
They have wifi internet here...so I'm in the room surfing. as all Jaimes people will check her page. She's good. I got to watch the epidural go into her back. It made her the sweet person I married (not the pre epidural crazy lady who was breaking my fingers). She's watching a tiger baby special on the tv, and is behaving. currently 4 cm dialated ... I figure 6>8 hours to baby.....
5:28pm
she's at 7 cm, and laughing. she's looking at bens baby outfit in anticipation. the food here sucks. I had their burger combo...lowlights included...only wheat buns, homemade ketshup w/o sugar in it, a preheated burger that was not a cow at any point, and a medium soda with no refills. I know know where rejected dennys short order cooks work. the green zone at evergreen hospital...
to funny... anyway... at 9pm I was ready to push! 40 minutes later and tons of screaming and almost popping of blood vessels I gave birth to a 7lb 6oz baby boy. I was so relieved that he wasn't 10lbs like they thought!!! haha! He was 20 inches long and a little tired at first...they needed to get him crying so unfortunatly Sean didn't get to cut the umbilical cord. The doc was so fast and the nurses were amazing!
I hardly remember anything then... he was placed in my arms all clean and staring at me and I was BALLING! You know...horomonal release and all! haha!
So here we are....recovering and in severe pain... it was worth it though and because of my BFFL (Epidural Guy) I would safely say I am not scared to do it again!!!
So here he is! Finally!!! He hates having his diaper changed and I have severe anxiety that somethings always worng and hes never the right color...but I guess this is all normal and I'll get through it. So here I go, night number three lets pray for 3 hours in a a row of sleep!
