I'm miserable and I can't figure this out

I get bartholin gland cysts and because of it being the holiday season I can't get into my gyno to get it taken care of so I am going to have to do at home treatments until it bursts, or the clinic opens so I can see my doctor... so the question is, exactly how warm of water can I soak in? I've heard hot tubs and such can cause problems annnnd I don't want to sit in too warm of water and cause something bad to occur. So, any idea how warm I can make the water? And would also using a corn bag (similar to a heating pad, its just corn in a pouch that you warm up in the microwave) have any negitive effect? I'm in such pain that i need the heat to relieve the pressure... help! =(

My midwife friend to never take a bath or sit in a hot tub where the water was over 100 degrees. You could put hot compresses on it though.

IDK about the corn bag thing but as far as the bath goes i sit in like a body temp bath i let the water fill up and wheni get in if it doesnt burn me than i soak in it lol idk if that helps at all...you could always call l&d and they could tell you
