Finally agreed

posted 23rd Dec
So my DH and I finally agreed on a name for our lil' boy:

Stephen Rowan Griffin

I told my friend and she tells me. "I don't like Stephen."     But to be honest neither do I really. But its important to my DH. Its his grandfathers name and he gives his grandfather full credit for teaching him to be the man he is today, and his grandfather probally won't be around for much longer. And I think that if its important to my DH to honor his grandfather then I can grow to like Stephen. Although I'm still hoping maybe my son can go by his middle name,  Steve just seems so formal....
Anyway, what do you think. It has a good ring to it right?

Don't worry about what other think. i got tired of everyone and their rude comments about names we were talking about so now once a name is decided no on gets to know until he is born

Personally I really like the name Stephen! And if your hubby's Grandfather teached your hubby to be the man he is well go ahead and honor this great man.

Its not so much that i don't like the name Stephen its more so that I have to start associating it with our son. Right now I get a mental picture of my husbands teammate from work. He's a sweet guy and all, but a lil' on the scruffy side. He has these outrageous sideburns that he grew just for the shock factor and thats what i picture. My baby born with mullett chops...lol   oops should be mutten chops... lol

I didn't like the name Brandon. I thought it was too plain and boring. But it was so important to Richard because it was after his best friend who had died in a car accident. So, I gave in and said okay.

It just worked out and I LOVE my son AND his name :-D

what if you switch the order around a little and make stephen a middle name? i didn't like the name my hubby wanted, but i was fine giving it to her as a middle name. so that's what we are doing.
