SMOKING WEED WHILE PREGNANT..

Is it really that bad for your baby? (I don't smoke, but i need honest opinions) and if you have facts you'd like to post, could you link me the site you got them from? I just really want to hear your thoughts about this. It's a personal issue.

my bestestest friend in the whole wide world smoked weed since before she was pregnant until she was 7 months. The doctor told her it was fine and she had her daughter Nov. 16th and she was healthy and so beautiful!


(edit) she didn't smoke every day or constantly. lol, occasionally but she definitely puffed "on the magic dragon" or whatever they call pipes.

When I found out I was pregnant, I stopped. Though, it's not really a good thing to be doing in the first place. I figure, it's better not to do it at all since it's stupid to risk harming your unborn child.

Well, everything i find on the internet is always "marijuana could cause, or may cause, or can or can not" there's no definite facts about what it will or can do.

Smoking of any kind during pregnancy is harmful to your baby. There haven't been many studies done about the effects of marijuana on a devoloping baby. Some doctors say it's linked to a higher occurance of ADD/ADHD and other learning disabilites. At this point if you chose to smoke it during pregnancy, you're using your baby as a guniea pig since the effcts aren't fully known.

One thing though, you probably aren't going to get too many positive responses form most of the people on here. They tend to bash people that post questions like this.

I honestlydon't think it harms your baby. Well if you use smoke all day EVERYDAY, then thats a problem in its self. All the girls I have known smoked during their pregnancy and their babies are fine. My mom smoked weed while she was pregnant with all three of her kids. Were all very bright. She also drank while she was pregnant with me cause she didn't know she was pregnant till 4 months. I have smoked weed during my pregnancy, and I have a VERY healthy baby. Thats what my Dr. said. Both of them. And she is VERY VERY active. I don't think a pregnant women should go to town and smoke like she aint pregnant. But smoking once in a while is fine. I beleive so any way. Its all natural. Smoking ciggaretts is more Harmful. Just my opinion.

I honestly and from personal experience wouldn’t smoke weed during pregnancy (I wouldn’t do it to begin with but that’s just my opinion, I think drugs any type of drugs should be used for medical only and not just to get “high”). My mom smoked pot while she was pregnant with me and I was a really sick baby. Weather that was from her smoking pot and the doctor telling her to drink a glass of red wine a day I does not know but why risk it. I have a handful of health issues but I can’t blame it all on the choices my mom made during her pregnancy with me but they sure don’t help matters none.

That may be the case in your situation but a lot of the time the problems don't show up until the children are in school. As for the whole"it's natural" thing.....so are Opium, Tobacco, Alcohol, Mushrooms and many other drugs.

It's only 9 months out of your life, but it's going to effect your baby for their WHOLE life. Why risk it? Isn't your baby worth stopping for a few months?

Well, Its MY opio=nion and Its MY choise. I belive weed is natural and its a PLANT. Nature grows it. Ciggaretts has a lot of NOT natural shit in them. Poisins and other harmful stuff. And I DID quit smoking for the 9 months. Alcohole(sp) is NOT natural either AND it is proven to affect the fetus. I quit drinking too. Shrooms, well that stuff is just CRAZY and the way it affects me, I deff would NEVER do shrooms while Pregnant. But, um I reall dout smoking a bowl every few weeks is going to harm my baby. I KNOW its NOT. And I don't think many other drugs are natural. Other drugs, such as coke or Meth. Your a fucking retard if you do anything like that. A blunt once a month aint doing no harm, And mind your own bissness and don't try to push your bullshit on me.

My mom flipped her car over three times while she was pregnant with me and I ended up fine. Does that mean I should go out and flip my car while pregnant? No!
