I'd like you all to meet my daughter... Sarah Tova Zion!!!

Born Friday, July 4th at 11:00PM. She was 5lbs 13.5oz & 20in long.
I was induced Thursday evening after having a non-responsive NST, followed by a very responsive NST and a major BP spike. Delivery was all natural - no epidural used (couldn't have it due to past spinal tap problems). No episiotomy or tearing.(thank G-d!!)Active laborlasted about 20mins, most of which I slept through. (The meds they gave me for the BP/preeclampsia made me so drowsy I kept falling asleep between and sometimes during contractions! LOL)

Congrats to Jackie as well on her lil boy!!

Hang in there ladies! It really truly is all worth it!! :-)

Congrats to all the mommies having their babies this week! they are so cute. It kind of makes me weepy to see them in their upmost newborn state. Even though it wasn't that long ago for me, I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

I don't know if you remember, but in one of my earlier posts I mentioned that I had gained 15 lbs during pregnancy. Since his birth (2 weeks ago tomorrow) I have lost 26 lbs!! I'm way smaller now than I was when I got married! I totally encourage breastfeeding to those of you who are thinking about it. Not only is it so good for your baby, but how many diets have you been on that you can eat oreos and milk every night and still lose weight like crazy?! The only downside is, after the breastfeeding stops, here comes the weight again. You'll have to manage it on your own after that. It's tough at first, but believe me, it's worth sticking to.

I so am sticking to the Bfing.

So I go to the dr. again today. I'm 38w4d. I am hoping she finally checks me since she said last week that we would discuss induction this week. I am ready to be done! I can't sleep at all. It's 2am CST and I'm wide awake, have been since 1am. Dont know why, just am! Ugh I swear, I dont get sleep before he's here and I'm not gonna get it after....its not fair! Anyhow, I'll update everyone when we get back from the dr. this afternoon.

So the doc checked for dialtion for the 1st time and I'm 2cm. But I didn't think to ask about effacement or station and usually if everything is good my doc doesn't volunteer any information, unless I ask. SO now I get to wait until 39 weeks to even find out anymore information. I kinda wish he woulda checked before 38weeks for dilation, that way I would know how long it has taken me to get to 2cm. O-well! I guess it's good that I'm dilated at all..although it doesn't always mean anything. My son's been dropped for 4-5 weeks now, I've been having mild contractions at night mostly, but nothing consistent and I lost my mp about a week ago! Doc did say we would talk about induction at my next appt, so I possibly only have like 1 week left =)

2cm is good! Sounds like you are doing good. Hopefully him checking you will stir up labor! It can happen.....

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Sorry girls I'm gonna vent here. I just wanna scream! So i went to the dr. today and my b/p was up. So she checks me and says well your still one. Oh and i'm stripping your membranes right now. So she strips my membranes and says if it's gonna work it will work in 24-48 hours. Then she says lay on your left side for a bit we are gonna recheck your b/p. Well they took it again and it was still elevated. So they had me wait while the scheduled some stuff. I had a BPP today, have an NST on saturday, and another BPP and ob check on Monday. I wish she would just induce me already! She said induction increases risk for need for c-section so she'd rather i go into labor on my own........I AM DONE BEING PREGNANT!!!! She better schedule an induction after my appt on monday or I am gonna lose it that's for sure!
