re: JULY 2008

I've been having contractions for the past 3 days. On Tuesday I even had a bit of bloody show. But because they were so busy in L and D they said dont come in until my contractions are 4 minutes apart. Unfortunately I live 40 minutes from the hospital and my contractions are currently 8 minutes apart. When I was seen on Wednesday they didnt check me either, they were just like go home and keep well hydrated with your feet up

Jennerbe-No, i see a doctor. She has to have a medical reason to induce me unless I am 39 weeks. We are going to discuss induction moreat my next visit but she did say that it would probably be her day on call that week which is Wednesday the 16th......So 13 days at most! By the way, i have terrible leg pain too!

Jackie- Im glad they finally set a date for your induction. He will be here before you know it! Did she say what station baby is at (-1, -2, -3)? You can still be long it just means your cervix isn't thinning out or effacing. Usually first time moms do that before they dilate though. Hang in there it's almost here!

i am so mad cuz i bought an outfit when they said i was def having him in june for today and now he is not able to wear it on the forth o wel its a cute polo outfit from babuesrus( not polo brand but a polo shirt) so he can wear it to church or something


no she didnt say anything about station but she stuck her finger up and was omg theres his head he is really low and then she was like i need you to lay back more and tilt your pelvis and she like killed me trying to get mack to my cervix and she was like you are very long i was thinking tho how is his head sooooo low that she felt it as son as she stuck her finger in and then she had to dig to find my cervix idk its confusing to me lol

Youre baby's head may be pushing down in front of your cervix. If she was really reaching hard and had you tilt your pelvis then you are probably posterior. I only know because I was posterior and his head was in front of my cervix until the pulled my cervix forward and now his head is pushing down on my cervix, the nurse even touched his head when i was in the hospital the other night. Your cervix may not be thinning out, that's probably why she's saying your "long". Hang in there he'll be here soon!

uh i have a feeling that he is gonna be here soon and then at other times i feel like ill have to be induced my next appointment is the 7th and if i havent startde progressing by then i swear ill go mental btw ill be 39 weeks then so i know a lot of you share my pain.

Itwasn't that pleasant but,the nurse (my co worker) grabbed it with a finger or two and held on to it and slowly worked it forward while stretching it as well. It was uncomfortable but not that much more uncomfortable than your usual vag exam when you have a posterior cervix like i do!

i am scared that even after they give me the cervidl that i still wont open!

and i am scared that they are going to just do a c section adn that would piss me off becuz they wouldnt induce me for the past 3 weeks for fear of doing 1 so if they end up doing it regardless ima b MAD!

You very well may be posterior if they have a hard time getting to it and have to have you tilt your pelvis to get to it. The risk of c-section is less when induced after you hit 39 weeks, so I hope not for your sake!

Good luck.. I'm in the same boat as ya! I'm not quite sure if this is it or not, but something is definitely different (contractions I mean) anyways here's to us... *labor dust*

ok question for u ladies. My 37-week appt was on thursday and he stretched my cervix cuz he said it was still thick and tight. that hurt like a bitch! neways..i had a lot of pain afterwards like he said i would and had some old bloody discharge too for most of the day. Then saturday morning i woke up and went to the bathroom and thought i had lost my mucus plug cuz there was some dark blood again and some mucus. I was getting all excited. Now this morning and again this afternoon i had more discharge of a little dark and old blood and more mucus? what is going on?? I am assuming now that it wasn't my mucus plug that i lost on saturday because of the extra mucus i had again today twice. Could that just be from him stretching my cervix? I was talking to my mom and with all 4 of us girls she never saw herself lose her mucus plug, so she couldn't tell me what it looked like. they showed us a picture of one in our birthing class and this was a lot bigger than what was pictured. I am thinking of calling the doc tomorrow just to see what the nurse has to say. I am supposed to go in on wednesday for my last ultrasound to check the weight of him and i am assuming another checkup. I have only had like 4 contractions in my lower back since saturday morning and they only lasted about 20 to 30 seconds, so im not too worried right now about going into labor. I am just confused about all this discharge cuz i haven't had ne for over 2 months now. nebody have ne ideas?

I am 5"8', but I also have a very athletic frame. So everyone tells me I hold my weight very well. How tall are you? I must say I am really excitied to get my bladder back! And I would also like to see what's going on down there, haven't seen that in awhile either... hahaha. We should be eachothers online work-out buddies!! Anyone else want to join us??
